Is your KE70 van from japan (compliance plate in japanese) or made by AMI Is your roof like the KE70 sedan/wagon or AE71 panelvan ??? When you say stock crossmember, what one are you talking about ???
-
Today I pulled #2 exhaust port off, changed the shape & made it equal length to port #1 Then I made port #3 a similar shape to the origanal one for port #2 I have managed to get #1,#2,#3 equal lengths :D #4 is sadlya little under 2 inches shorter :) I hope it doesn't matter that much...But the factory FWD exhaust manifold seems to work with 4 different lengths :D I will weld up my 2-1 once i get it in the Van

Can any one tell me if they have had this conversion on a Borg Warner diff from a R31 pintara? I am interested in putting in a LSD centre, but this might be a much cheaper option? Does this conversion act like a real LSD ???

I wasn't that smart to think of that :D Any chance you could post a picture of your extractors??? I would like to see them so i can get an idea of the factory lengths (primaries and secondries) Ta Dave

I am making 4-2-1 .

I have searched 4AGE's (for ages...TOYOTA joke :y: ) for a RWD exhaust manifold. Since i couldnt find one, extractors were my only choice. I have started to fabricate my extractors, but i am looking for comments & feedback on the flow and design of my headers :no2: Here is a few pics of the progress ( Primaries )

Have you got the car yet? I think i know what you mean, but could you draw a sketch ???
-
I don't understand what you are saying ???? The Check engine Light should be activated due to the missing sensors/wiring. So if i hook it up with a switch like you suggested, soon as i flick the switch the light will be on. Why not just leave it out ?? My dash cluster (KE70) does not even have one !! Seems like a lot of work for an shitty warning light that will only piss me off
-
Jap import for sure. Same Engine plate, Dash cluster and front end as my KE70 Panelvan. Just to let you know that the jap KE70 have smaller gearbox cross members than AUS KE70 I have a 4AGZE into a jap KE70 Panelvan. Nothing but trouble :y: Good luck with finding a factory X-member Below are the X-members for KE70 JAPAN KE70 AUS AE71 AUS *NB check how the box mounts in the centre of the JAP KE70 mount (TOP) AUS KE/AE 7X mount off centred

Wont i be able to still hook up the diagnostic to check the car from time to time? I can't see the use in putting a checklight in !!! cause i believe the light would be always on. Simply cause the AE101 speed sensor is missing( Speed limiter in dash cluster), abs is missing and the speedo reader(eletronic speedo sensor). From what i have read....All of these things can cause the check engine light to be activated
-
What did the AE and KE use the counter for??? I know the sensor in the AE101 dash cluster is a speed sensor (180km/h limiter)
-
Could you please explain??? :ninja:

I take it this Rolla will not be road registered :hmm: with the power to weight issues A very nice job though. :ninja: :hmm:

Was the TE72 made in japan (imported to AUS like the KE70 panelvan) Was the T-50 manual used in the TE72?? Would anyone have any pictures of a TE72 manual gearbox x-member? I would like to know the dimensions/distance between the bolt hole centres??? :ninja:

Top- KE70 Panelvan JDM? (Vans were Imported from japan) K-50 x-member Middle-KE70 sedan (australian made) K-50 x-member Bottom-AE71 Wagon T-50 x-member The AE71 has the same bolt hole as my JDM KE70. The problem is it has to be bolted about 6 inches to the rear of where the original KE70 x-member went.

I am aware of this :ninja: Check out the switches in the pic below That was the only thing i could think of due to the positioning of the swithes :hmm:
-
It controls the ecu and speedo cluster ?
-
I have just bought myself another K-50 5 speed. I have noticed that there is 3 sensors on top of the box. My stuffed box only has 1 (reverese light switch) What are the other 2 sensors for ??? a neutral start switch ???
-
I have rewired the factory 4AGZE harness for AE101 Trueno in to my KE70 panelvan. Everything has been wire up except for the speedo sensor. My auto electrician just said to leave it out !!!! I have read other article saying that it should be hooked up to the tailshaft with a reed switch ? Can anyone tell me from past experience ? Has anyone got pics of a reed switch setup on a tail sharft ? Ta :ninja:

According to TOYOTA, the part # is the same Anyone got a measurement between the bolt holes for me? :'(

could you please send some pics???

Since you didn't mention that you replaced the Distributor cap, check you still have the little spung graphite? contact that sits inside the Dizzy cap. I once lost that little contact when i was changing my points. When you get it firing, Try and find an Electronic dizzy off of a 5k-c. I set the timing on my car 3 years ago, 80 000 kms later and it still hasn't missed a beat :'(

RWD 4AGZE CONVERSION I will start by saying i did a shitload of research before i started. Now that i have finally got my hands on a T-50 X-member, i have discovered that the KE70 Panelvan has different Gearbox mounting holes in the tunnel, to the KE70 sedan/wagon. Hence the AE71 Gearbox X-member (T-50) wont bolt to the KE70 Panelvan tunnel. I have been thinking that i might be able to drill the spot welds out of the X-member mounting brackets in my KE70 Van, and replace them with the ones out of the tunnel in the KE70 sedan. I know the AE71 X-member bolts straight into KE70 sedan, cause my mate has a 4AGTE in his :'( Any Experts ??? Any suggestions ???
