  1. ur a real cheeki cnt m8. fite me irl 1v1
  2. Just bought an AE92, so I might be up for a night of 18 second passes :P
  3. I'm in too! See if I can break into the 12s this time.
  4. I've seen this on 8 forums now, so +1 to irokin.
  5. Hi mate, I'd already organised a GT30 - Cheers. The Astron won't be staying stock either. I've already got two donor motors, one which will be used for the conversion, and one which will be built on the side.
  6. Well, we had a day of drift-preparing the rolla today. Unfortunately no motor changes courtesy of my engine hoist being on loan. Stripped back to a bare interior, and bolted back in the front seats, and guages. Also installed a "drift button" for the hand brake. Windows are all removed now except for the front windscreen, and will be replaced with perspex this week. PS: I have a few fractures in my right hand, so I'm not really doing a lot in the below pic.
  7. Ok, VR probably won't be ready, however I'm sure a mates supercharged, manual VS lookalike VP ute will be.
  8. Donor car: My mate thought it would be funny to drive down the road into a powerpole, hence the front bar. It was hilarious.
  9. I'm gonna have to rush to finish the VR!
  10. The rate at which a bike can stop, a rider filtering at 20km/h is in NO danger. They are also reducing congestion, increasing their own safety and are damn sexy. Riding or driving down emergency lanes is stupid, they're there for a reason. Most riders won't go there because motorcycle tyres can get punctured easily, and are not very cheap. There is no good reason why safe lane filtering shouldn't be allowed. In the UK there is even GUIDELINES and training to help people filter. If you can provide a reason better than "if I have to wait, so do you", I'll consider changing my riding patterns. Also, we don't want to be treated like every other vehicle, we just don't want to be killed by stupid blind pricks that don't see us even though we're making eye contact with them. This happens ALL THE TIME.
  11. That is so stupid. I hate people that do that, and I've assaulted a minimum of 4 people for doing the same thing. Yeah, they're all brave when they're surrounded by their big metal cage, but when the 6 foot, 92kg angry armored bastard is smashing their window in, they rethink their actions. I've already broken 2 helmets because of people who think that winding up their windows and locking their doors will help them. I'm normally very polite (I wave to everyone when I finish lane filtering), but when people do this stuff I see red. We're faster than you, smaller and more vulnerable. When we get rear ended by some wanker who missed the red light, we don't just exchange insurance details, we go to hospital, or a hole in the ground. Filtering removes this risk. Sure, I don't agree with wankers that do 30km/h faster than traffic that are doing 80km/h whilst ripping wing mirrors off (ie lane splitting), but FILTERING through traffic at a red light only makes life easier for people. Don't try and debate this with me, I've only just had the last pins removed from my body because of someone who decided I didn't deserve the road as much as he did. I was cut off in the wet. Braked hard, headshake, then I'm rolling down the freeway. BTW, I do NOT condone violence. But if you try and kill me, I will make sure you never do it again.
  12. I hate people that stereotype Commodore V8 bogans. I drive a V8 commodore on my p's. Get off them in 3 months, and I still have all of my points, and the only fines I've received are from canaries. However, of my mates: 1) 230 in a 110 zone - AU Falcon Wagon 2) 190 in a 100 zone - Honda Legend 3) 130 in a 40 zone - AU Falcon Ute 4) 160 in a 110 zone - VR V6 Commodore 5) 170 in a 110 zone - Nissan Navara (2007 model, fully optioned... Very nice) 6) 160 in a 50 zone - VH SL/E 308 Commodore (1000rpm past the redline, it's the fastest you can go with 4.11 diff gears and a T350) 7) Nearly killed myself and two mates by wrapping his Holden Combo around a tree at 110. 95% of the reason I am a safe, paranoid driver. 8) Has hit 3 poles with my old VH SL/E stroker 9) 100 in a 60 zone - KE30 Corolla 10) Fishtailing the eastern freeway outbound, line to line - RX7 Series 1 13bt So that's just 10 of my mates that have lost their licences for 12+ months. Note the variety in cars, including a rolla? I f@$king hate other drivers. Hate them.
  13. What date is this happening? I'll have to hurry the VR's conversion up!
  14. It'll probably be this coming weekend, so in an effort to apologise, I'll throw in a new oil filter and a new bottle of oil.
  15. Hey mate, yeah, sorry about that I got absolutely rolled over the weekend. And Chris, great info, thanks!
  16. Sorry about the triple post, but has anyone ever fitted Commodore V8 calipers from a VN to a rolla before?
  17. I'm off to go see another donor car in about half an hour. Fingers crossed the fun will start this weekend. Edit: Ok, I'm happy with the donor car. Now I just have to get rid of my VN Calais parts car before the weekend. It's an Astron 2, so the 2 litre factory turbo gear won't bolt up, however the multipoint injection will. What I have left to get: TR/S Magna injection setup GT28 or similar snail Turbo manifold. Fuel reg BOV Larger injectors And more I haven't thought of.
  18. Ok, I took a mates Sigma GSR for a run on Saturday night. They're not bad runners stock, however I could see a lot of benefit in shorter diff gears. The standard Sigma gear ratios mean 5th gear @ 80km/h = chugging along at 1400rpm. So now I'm on the hunt for a KE70 auto diff. PM me if you have one.
  19. Jarrad, I hate to disappoint, but the VR isn't a stroked twin turbo V6 anymore. I hope the blown 5 litre makes up for it though. :o I say bring on the long cruise as well!
  20. I'm in. Unfortunately with the commodore, not the rolla. Finally a cruise nearby me!
