  1. updated with content from the weekend.
  2. Your car has so much more work in it than my car, it's so much neater inside and out. Good on you dude for putting in so much effort, your car looks awesome. Goes pretty good too :P I'm going to upset everyone once my ke70 gets it's new engine conversion though ;)
  3. Definitely, that's one of my favourite things about the little corolla.
  4. Yeah dude, 3rd gear and ALL the clutch kicks! Lol
  5. I started off buying a white slanty 4age ke70 from SA, left Melton at 5:30am, drove to the other side of adelaide and then drove this corolla back with no heater & a locked r/h/f strut for 7 hours at 4,200rpm. It was standard bodied on 14 inch cressida steel wheels. I cut the springs and fitted a set of rota grids & cheap china tyres then it looked like this. Went drifting with it Decided I'd have a go running it around Winton with my friends in their r33 gtsts, Best time of the day first time ever on the track was 1:52.4 Was hooked on racing so I started to get into any track days I could, I completed a second winton track day, only thing I changed was my tyres (achilles 123) & my rear shocks to keep up with the higher spring rate caused by cutting the springs. Best time the 2nd time out was a 1:48. Third time taking the car out racing was at the Bryant park "haunted hills" hillclimb. Best time of the day was 61.8 seconds. I tried too hard after my 2nd timed run and managed to put it into a tractor tyre wall. Fair ʞ©$ɟed it too. Nek minnit Add BC coilovers Reshell begins, hours and hours and hours of work. Check out how far that rail is pushed up! All ready to race with only minutes to spare before I had to load up to drive to Winton! Done really well in the new car, 1:45 straight off the trailer. (no photos of the car at winton this time sadly) Ran out of guard clearance when I fitted my AJPS LCAs. Got a full cage fitted (don't have a good photo of it) and patched up the rear firewall/parcel shelf to pass scruit at Winton. Ran the new car at Haunted hills again, didnt put it into the wall this time! yeeeeeee. Done a 60.72 lap with a mega ʞ©$ɟed alignment, 20 degrees toe in & over 5 degrees neg camber. BIG thanks to Grant @ Gripshiftslide.com for the awesome photos. Sorted out the mangled guards just in time for my last outing at winton. Went out on sunday to winton and run a PB with the new setup (LCA's and front swaybar + alignment) 1:44.2. I'll put up some more pics once I get them. And that's all for now, All of this has taken place since last august when I bought the white corolla. Update: Went drifting 10/08/13 Done fairly well, everyone loved the car.
  6. When you pull it up does it feel like there is any tension? The rear brakes may just need adjusting. You can check if the hand brake cable is broken if the brakes are adjusted correctly.
  7. Diff oil is the most foul substance on the planet.

Replace the pump, that means it's faulty.
  9. are you sure it's bottom end knock if it's only doing it for 5 seconds after start up?
  10. get a gregories manual for the car and a torque wrench and if you follow the steps you should get it all done for $300 easy AND you'll know how to do it next time.
  11. sounds like it's rediculously rich to me.
  12. just get the pistons coated until there is a 0.000001" gap between piston & bore and forget about rings all together.
  13. That's a stunner up there in the pic, mine won't be so pretty :P. I'm fairly electronically and mechanically minded,I also know a few of the right people, I also HATE dealing with messes. I'll be putting it together the first time and making it run immaculately, I don't have the coin to do it over and over again so it'll be done right the 1st time (as cheaply as possible, but I don't have to pay for any labour so it won't be hard!).
