  3. what a cool idea
  4. before it actually came out i was having on and off problems with stalling like that, so also check it is properly connected even if its hasn't come out. I am just glad I saw this before I started messing around with the carb too seriously
  5. Ok so your 4K-C cuts out at idle and you are about to mess around with the carb. First make sure this is plugged in: Oh wtf a loose plug. Oh there we go. Car now idles perfectly. Hope this saves someone some trouble
  6. Just put my new exhaust on. Super quiet except for the squeeking i was talking about... Got impatient and just sprayed the fan belt with WD40, no squeeks whatsoever now
  7. Yeah my dog picked the best time to hear a weird noise over the back fence... Soon afterwards I heard tires squeeling and my dog and my car have not been seen since. Oh hang on I think my car just pulled up. There's bitches everywhere! Oh my God how could that many pig ears and shmackos fit in my car!
  8. Mmm yeah like that insane bloody all carbon fibre WRX :P And as for custom vents and flares... mm yeah carbon fibre IS a much easier option for that sort of work as opposed to metal. My first thought about making a carbon fibre hood was the possibility of custom vents. :D as for intense custom fiberglass fabrication this was posted here a while back"custom fabrication lol Does anyone know the legalities of replacing steel panels with carbon fibre? Its dangerous in that it doesn't crumple so it ruins what progress they made in crash testing... but less important if your car is built like a submarine anyway lol.. i doubt queensland transport shares that view..
  9. makes me want to try making a mold for a fiberglass hood and/or boot lid as my next project :P
  10. ok so manual transmission are outdated. So is sex. Sure you can artificially get it perfect but why would you want to? Where is the soul?! Manual transmissions are an extremely fun way to drive and the new and really good autos can compete with them but I for one don't want an auto. Manual RWD in the wet. Thankyou.
  11. omg... tappet cover so shiny... feelings of intimacy with engine increasing....
  12. Yeah well.... I know I want EFI but its still not as cute as my dog! :P
  13. Absolutely :P Damn straight!
  14. Absolutely :P
  15. Ok I promised pics a while back once I got a digicam, have had lots of fun with it. Now have some pics of my corolla. Just have to bring some attention to how great this photo is: Hehe. Best photo ever. Have a few other cool ones I snapped but this takes the cake. :P
  16. p.s. your mum is your dad
  17. I respect that in some situations drifting can be a good thing to do. Drifting is fun either way. I like driving in the wet very much. bye
  18. Well... you do have a 5 year old daughter don't you? Yes, you must be soooo old... My question is, how does a 10 year old have a 5 year old daughter? This is incredible, He has defied physics there, maybe he can defy physics on a racetrack too! NOW I GET IT!
  19. I'm sorry about that, thats the most disturbed analogy I have ever made on this forum. I have thoroughly amused myself
  20. I havn't even read through this whole thread yet, but if you are saying that because you have your foot on the gas pedal more when you drift that its faster.... then.... no? Are you insane? Thats like saying, if someone masturbates every sperm WILL turn into a baby. Drifting is masturbation and grip driving is sex. What I'm saying is, all that power is going into destroying your tires and impressing people with your action packed corner instead of actually getting you through the corner quickly. Ok its nice to think yes, if I go into a corner so fast that I slide out of control, if I can control this slide without reducing my speed then I am going faster than if I didn't slide out of control: "drift". This is insane. You will almost always do better if your engine's power is connected to the road via your tires instead of sliding so you can actually get power to the ground instead of sliding around. I reckon you will make A LOT MORE ground accelerating out of the corner than sliding through it, even if you do have to slow down before a bit before you enter the corner. Entry speed doesn't have much to do with actually taking a quick corner. Do Indy cars drift? Do V8 supercars drift? Does ANY on-road sport have drifters? Yes, they never made it into any races, because they're insane. INSANE! :) Yes there is an on-road sport that incorporates drifting as a method that works. Its called ummmm.... drift
  21. I really don't see what the big deal is about datto 1200 utes... they're not THAT cool...
  22. Apart from that I don't know... that was a good few months ago and it wasn't doing it much, and has been happeninh on and off. Good chance its just oil because at the motorkhna, at the time I had forgotten to (read: didn't realise I had to) attach that little hose going from the bottom of the carb to the tappet cover and had been running like that for ages without any problem, but after a few laps of the skidpan there was oil splattered all over the underneath of the bonnet :)
