  1. well actually as a matter of fact i bought a pair of monroe gt gas shocks today for $80 just for the rear.... so now its just an issue of springs Does anyone know if king springs LOWS are decently low compared to superlows? king springs don't make a superlow for ke70's but make a low...
  2. lol *hits moniter* error exists between keyboard and chair..
  3. to the guy who started this post- have u done an engine conversion yet?
  4. Fellow rolla enthusiasts I have been encouraged to upgrade the suspension of my KE70 by a shock absorber snapping in two. Has anyone done this to a KE70 or AE71? Basically I just want my car to handle and of course to look phat. If anyone has done this with king springs and/or monroe shocks definately please reply to this post! These are the brands I want to use. Part numbers would also be helpful for reference if you did use these brands. Apart from that, any advice? If you suggest chopping the springs I will pretend you are a computer glitch and hit my moniter. :y: Hehe I like it how googling suspension and KE70 brings up a rollaclub hit first go..
  5. yet to confirm the go with staff purchases with coventry, too busy working :y: will let u know
  6. if i got a rollaclub sticker that very first one u posted would suit my car. schmicko and the one in jap style would suit any, but its too like.... the same as the font on jap wreckers' logo..... its as if u bought it straight from the wreckers... the steering wheel ones are a bit silly to tell u the truth, and i think with text you are always better off having it clear and easy to read, because text is there to be read
  7. u can upload after a certain number of posts? wow its like Battlefield 2 without the C4
  8. LOL! I like challenging cars to a drag when I KNOW beyond any doubt that they're going to thrash me. But that's mostly just so I can see a). how fast their car looks as it zooms off, and b). how much of a moron the other driver is to think that I think I've got a chance. :D Like when I raced my Galant against a Lamborghini Countach :D :D :D I like it how some people notice my custom paint and wheels and try to show me up.... its like... wow dude... you can beat a f@$king ke70... you really should be proud K engines sound angry, they're good for bluffing Oh and for actually following through with it in some cases quad cam? why not quad rotor
  9. man, any car with nice rims & on its guts will look the goods I set out a challenge for anyone to disprove this
  10. Here are the photos: ... Sorry just had to say that to satisfy my craving for seeing those words posted, there are no photos
  11. I think if something is a skill and you get paid for it, the beauty of doing it as a hobby would be that its your own time so you're not under pressure, so you can do everything perfect and know what you're doing. Like, after my old job, I can put objects in bags at home SO beautifully. its an art.. from all my grocery bagging. lol
  12. see the beauty of this job is that there's not so much outright labour on cars and dealing with car problems apart from indirectly by supplying customers with replacement parts, so I reckon this job would be less likely to kill my love for cars than being a mechanic. Being around cheap+quality spare parts all day and not being able to afford them is already starting to twist me a bit :jamie:
  13. Yeah man, I've heard SO much dirt about the mechanic's trade. People tend to not stay in it... spare parts interpreters tend to stay in their job however Wages are all over the place, I guess you get paid for what you're worth in this job. If you're interested in the job, search about it in google, there's a graph somewhere about wages..
  14. yeah mate how did u know?! :jamie: Yeah so far its looking really promising, the people there seem pretty down to earth and the managers are really friendly. So far they've got me picking and packing, I really don't mind it! If this falls through I'm just going to get a job in the warehouse there, picking and packing is quite an alright job. Especially with car parts. :) King springs, Monroe shocks, exedy clutches caught my eye, but they have SO much shit, I don't think I'm ever going to supercheap auto again. Staff discount on superlow king springs and an exedy clutch for dessert please. These guys supply mechanics and random retailers from wynnum to cairns and everywhere inbetween and buy straight from factory.
  15. Update: Secured an apprenticeship in spare parts interpreting, I start work tomorrow :jamie: If you don't know what a spare parts interpreter is: think the horse whisperer. Except with cars. Yes thats exactly what a spare parts interpreter is Car "Clunk clunk psshhh" Me "That means she's mad at you"
  16. Here's an idea for ya Nick "f@$k AERODYNAMICS" sticker for rear window of KE70/AE71
  17. thats a lie i don't like that. I want a new power plant :y:
  18. I like having a slow car that looks like it might go fast, and bluffing people by pretending I'm not even bothering trying to wallop them from the lights. When in reality I'm going pedal to the metal.
  19. heh reminds me of when my exhaust downpipe SNAPPED
  20. Just in case anyone knows whats going on: I have this weird problem that my headlights go out randomly....the blue light on the dash that lights up when u turn the high beams on lights up instead of the headlights. I play with the stick on the steering column (jiggling high beam on and off) and the headlights go back on. ..wtf?
  21. Being in a fast car is definately fun but its a different story when its you who is pushing out the revs
  22. ^^Yes I used to read this guys stuff, there's a fair bit of useful info, its where I started reading about Corollas online. I seperately found rollaclub and used him as a reference to back up an argument. It was the biggest trip out to have superjamie, that dude who has this info coming out of his arse, respond to this. So yeah anyway, moral of the story is that oldcorollas is a goldmine of info. Hurrah for being able to research obscure shit on the internet. :P
