  1. Must remember to grab the calendar when I go out to Palmerston this afternoon...
  2. In about three weeks - I leave for Brisbane on Saturday, and can't get to your place before then unfortunately. :) Yes to both. Not sure if Duy was selling it, but he did offer me a straight swap, the SW11 for the ZZE122R. Agreed.
  3. Awesome - I'll be jumping in Lolla straight after dinner then! Luke's a scary driver! That would have been awesome! I always order pizza's under fake names. It's only a problem when they check my phone number and already have my name on file from last time. Or when someone else goes to pick up the pizza and I've neglected to tell them which name I've used. :)
  4. Bigger than you physically too - so don't f@$k with me. Andrew is half right - I don't like turbo's. HOWEVER, I do recognise that they are an efficiency multiplier (thanks irokin). I just don't like lag. As for your mods you've mentioned, they should all be fine on the stock ECU, and you could run pretty decent boost (except for the T25 restricting things). Of course, you could always just buy Duy's brother's SW11...
  5. Sweet! Hog's Breath it is! Thanks Luke - that'd be great if you could pick me and the board up. Hoping someone with a Rolla is going to offer a ride for the rest of the night though...
  6. Pfft - no! Talk to your region leader (Jip_01)!
  7. Girls - what are they? ROFL!!! So appropriate!
  8. If you're only getting 256/8.1 exhaust and 264/8.0 intake cams, then why are you bothing with porting and polishing? And if you're not fitting big valves (which you didn't mention and you won't need with cams so mild), then why get the 5-angle valve job? Don't forget the stock bigport cams are 240-degree, 7.32mm lift. I was looking at 276/288 degree cams for the 4A-GZE. For a 4A-GE with reasonable power (eg 170+hp at the flywheel), and to optimise the other mods you've mentioned (or to even make them worthwhile), you need to be thinking 270+ degree duration, and lift of 9.0mm.
  9. Ella's name is Luke since he has obviously been too slack to properly introduce himself. The meet up is on Saturday 14 February - Jon will have to confirm the location and time. I probably won't have access to a car, so if I could bum a ride off someone, that would be super. The family and I will be going to Chermside to do some shopping pretty much as soon as I arrive in Brisbane, but will be home in time for Mum to get the BBQ going before dinner, so I'll be right to head out at a reasonable hour (say 5pm onwards).
  10. This post started so well (spare engine block needed, suspension bushes on order) and turned to shit before resorting to lies. Daven, if you're building a hot 4A-GE, you don't need ICE!!! You just need to listen to that sweet revving little beastie and you're all set!!! As taking the car to track days - excellent idea! Don't put ICE in, as it only adds weight, and means that you can't use this sweet car to it's full potential!
  11. Good work Daven! Now if only I could sell my Corolla... and both TA22's... and 4A-GZE... and tyres & wheels collection... etc... And find a housemate - seriously, if you guys know of anyone looking for somewhere to stay, I have two rooms available and would prefer not to have a complete stranger. If figure someone who is mates with one of my mates isn't a stranger. LOL. $150/week for the big airconditioned room. $120/week for the smaller, non-airconditioned room (willing to install an aircon, but the price goes to $130/week). Getting pretty desperate, folks.
  12. I have RollaClub stickers, and am happy to see them on more Corollas. We need to have an event, but I can't organise it - any of you can feel free to organise something and I'll do my best to tag along. Apologies guys, I can't really focus on RollaClub currently. My life is going down the gurgler at the moment thanks to various factors, including but not limited to: marriage breakdown, massive lack of funds, increasing debts, university studies, work commitments, and NAMSC commitments. I'm having a great deal of trouble keeping up with all of these as it is, so Daven is pretty much the man as far as organising events, etc.
  13. Argh! Quinton, please read posts! This cruise/bbq was meant to happen 26 January - didn't happen because I've got no money and I was doing work on my house.
  14. Depends how many are coming, but if it's any decent number I'd suggest reservations at either place.
  15. Shit - that really sucks. At least if you're going to break it, make it spectacular, with chunks of diff flying out the back of the car!
  16. Emo Danno??? That'd be scary! Lol - only realised after I started typing that you meant emotional, not all slashy-wristy, hairy-blacky, skinny-whitey. Rego the car, fit a towbar, leave it in my care so I have something to tow the motorkhana trailer with when I sell the black Corolla. I'd fit a towbar to the GT-Four, but then we wouldn't have any witches hats or anything at the motorkhanas - just an empty trailer and a messy Stuart Highway. :P
  17. Sounds good. Pfft - don't expect me to replace her. Hey kent! Yes, still coming, and may actually be returning for a drive day within a couple of months, you kent. Void not yet filled by any kent, and I'm waiting until I'm back from Brisbane to try and find a kent to fill it. I think that covers all your questions... :P Retiring Corolla nut - Celica's FTW!!! :P Yeah, it'd be good to catch you again, Justin. Nick too if he's available. That'd be cool. For anyone that wants to meet up, my schedule is as follows: Saturday - arrive in Brisbane (around lunch, I think), light dinner with parents, but this can be missed without causing offence Sunday - dinner planned with parents, can't be missed Monday - Mum's 50th birthday (whole reason I'm there) Tuesday - dinner planned, not sure if it can be missed Wednesday - drive to Gold Coast, do Wet & Wild or Movieworld & stay the night Thursday - do Movieworld or Wet & Wild (whichever wasn't done day before), perve on chicks, stay night Friday - drive back to Cleveland first thing in the morning, surprise Mum at dinner with seven unexpected guests (I hope she doesn't check RollaClub :)) Saturday - probably do a family thing with the twelve of us that will be there Sunday - fly back to Darwin sometime during day, leaving in the morning I think These are all the important things I've got planned, so if you see an opening, we can take advantage of it. Tuesday during the day should be okay. Sunday & Tuesday I can definitely go out after dinner, but I've got a funny feeling I'm meant to be at dinner for some reason. If you're in the Gold Coast area and want to meet up, I can do it pretty much anytime, as we want to do Wet & Wild and Movieworld, but I'll just be there with my sister and her boyfriend, so it's all pretty cruisey. Mum will be pissed if I don't spend a fair bit of time with her while we're down, as it's for her birthday and she paid for the airfares. So one main Brisbane meet up would be ideal, and then maybe another meet up during a day for anyone that can't make it Saturday night.
  18. Hi all, I'm going to be in Brisbane, staying in the Cleveland area, from 14 February to 22 February. I'd love to meet up with some RollaClub guys and gals again if possible, preferably on the night of Saturday the 14th or Sunday the 15th. I've been chatting with many of you for the last few years, and it's always good to put a face to a name (except in Teddy's case - that was kinda disappointing :D). Let me know if you're keen, either by posting here or PM-ing me. Adam
  19. Good news on the AE70 Danno! Congratulations - and it super sucks that you won't be here to enjoy it. You having a going away party before you leave? If not, we should definitely do drinks somewhere *cough*Alex'shouse*cough* Shane - no 13's from what I inherited, as Danno and Alex grabbed them all and I don't have any from my own stocks. They're getting a bit harder to get, as even Yaris's come with 15's as standard now.
  20. Damn - didn't realise you were that far through the conversion! What did it fail on?
  21. We worked out he'd spent about $22,500 on DVD's. That's GT-Four money!!! LOL. He was mega pissed off when I told him I have another friend who recently informed me that her DVD collection stands at about 1,500 DVD's!
  22. Matthew - my bowling compadre. He buys all of his - don't think he's got any in computer form. He's a tad obsessive about collecting series' - for instance he's got multiple copies of the Transformers movie, because it came in different versions. And I think he's got a fair bit of Dragonball Z twice. LOL.
  23. I'm not sure if you were there when I was talking to Brenton on Thursday, but I'd got a price on Rewinds from Ozzy (before the fire), and they were about $1,000 for four. Almost definitely did not include tyres though. Rewinds are lighter than Superlites though, and for pretty much the same price. I want some 15x7 4x114.3's for the TA22(s).
  24. HELL YES!!! They'll look sex. Scrub that, they'll look SUPER SEX!!! They brand new? And if so, Ozzy Tyres, like I suggested?
  25. Are you a complete dope Andrew? The FX-GT didn't have more than a normal Corolla - it had less! Three door FTW! LOL!!!
