Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem, so long as I'm getting it back the same day. Obviously it's not something I want out of the car for too long a period.
-
Yes, but I forgot about it - sorry. I would have answered straight away, but I was trying to think of a polite way of saying no. Seriously though, would you be able to do what you need to at my place? I'd rather not risk getting the sensor lost.

1st Episode Of Top Gear, What Did You Think Of It ?
ancullen replied to Budowski's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
I'm just watching episode two right now. I missed the sand driving last week, but if you thought the cars coped a raping then, how about the mining site bit with the utes?!?!?! The way they were dropping the rocks into the tray (and down the outside) was stupid. And that's without going into the damage to the Navara tailgate. That would have to be a new tailgate for the Navara, and touch ups on all three cars from the scratches and marks from the rocks. In an aside, in the Ford GT test, they said it had 800+hp. I don't know how they came up with that - Mustang Motorsport have the power figure on their website as 410kW (550hp). So not only are these guys a pack of dicks (they are, don't deny it), now they (and the rest of the TGA team) can't even get their facts right. And TGUK would have had the budget to buy a Smart car, chop it, and build a proper hearse. That would have been funny as hell! Especially if they gave Jeremy the angle grinder to make the cuts. :) -

Oh well, looks like I'm not coming then. Shock! Horror! Another RollaClub cruise becomes another epic fail! -
1st Episode Of Top Gear, What Did You Think Of It ?
ancullen replied to Budowski's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Agreed. Only Clarkson can do Clarkson. The other guy will probably try and show more of Clarkson's qualities as they settle in, but that will just show just how much of a copy of TGUK this version is. Isn't doesn't have enough identity of its own. BTW, did anyone get the feeling they'd seen all the cars before? - Haltech GT-R: Motor October 2008 - Lotus (BFN-86B): Wheels October 2008 - AMG CLS63 (WNC-611): Wheels September 2008 - X-Trail (WAQ-074) & Forester (AU-23-JT): Wheels September 2008 Plus I'm sure I've seen the white M3 and possibly that RAV4 V6 before as well. If I had taped the show I'd double check (yes, I'm that boring). Anyone else think that perhaps Australia needs a few more test cars for journalists to thrash??? -

Meh, I'll take over at this point then. I've just realised I'm going to have to get a lift home from work (it's not my week to drive) and then drive straight back to Casuarina. Could I bum a lift with someone instead? I'd just need to be picked up from CDU (Casuarina). -
Ah, that explains it. 15's doesn't seem quick enough for your car, but I didn't think you'd be pushing too hard first time out. It will be good to see what you can end up doing. Would be REALLY nice to see a Corolla doing 12's up here.

Thanks guys. So are we going ahead with this cruise on Friday? I think we should! -
I take it there was a fair bit of wheelspin on that run then? What was your best Stephen?
-
We have Bunnings, but I didn't know they hired utes. I'll look into it and see if they do it up here.

Not registered. Spraying oil through the engine bay. Suspension bushes are f@$ked. I don't have any money to get it fixed. Not even close. I'm going to have enough trouble getting bills paid without trying to worry about that. -
Hi all, I'm in need of a vehicle that can tow a loaded car trailer, preferably a ute. I'll pay fuel money or whatever, just need to be able to access it this Saturday to move my Celica's and other car parts from Humpty Doo to my place in Bakewell. If you can help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated - ideally if the ute came with a driver who could help move the gear, that would be great, but I can get it done on my own if needs be. Thanks, Adam

The problem is the planned date was too long after the original suggestion. Want to do a cruise? Only give about a week's notice. I'm still up for this one if you want to proceed, but there's no way the GT-Four will be there. -

You got a Yoplus! Fark, that's gonna be insane bro!!! You won't be able to handle the extra power!!! :) -
LOL! He's working on the Torana currently. The S2000 is back on the road, and will have it's panels all repaired VERY soon. The Torana is going to be done up properly. Pity he'll be selling the triple Webers and manifold he has that he has never installed, will be ditching the triple SU's he has installed currently, and will be using a mechanical fuel injection setup instead. :) At least he's not going to do the RB or JZ engine swap he was considering. The scariest part is that he's still looking at getting a second S2000 to go with the current one and the Torana! I just hope that I can get my car built and get racing, but it doesn't look like I'll be doing any car work in the next six months or so. Looks like I'm going to have to put the TA22 plan back by about twelve months in total. :( :(
-
Hey Steve! That'd be great! I'm not planning on getting out on track again this year, but hope to be out there next year in your old TA22. So I'll definitely take advantage of your assistance. And it's not so much Nissan's I need to beat, as a particular Honda. Don't know how much luck I'll have though.

I'm not going to the Flying Fox Festival. It appears that my turbo oil line hasn't been done up on the GT-Four, and two rather important suspension bushes are rooted. Those of you still going, please write an email to Bill at [email protected] to let him know you'll be attending.

You don't have my number??? Since when??? I'll PM you. Hokay. BTW - SPOTTED: Not one, but TWO Toyota Camry Hybrids. In the flesh. Both left hand drive. :P In other news, an MR2/Celica replacement is currently in the works. This is from the horses mouth. :jamie:

You fool. Oh well, your loss.

Uh, can't remember the exact figures. 1 & 2 were good, 3 & 4 were shite. Call it $200 for the bigport head, but you get a free bottom end with it. :P If any of you are interested in parts (and have cash - I don't want my time wasted), it looks like there'll be a few people coming around to look at stuff next weekend. You may have noticed I haven't been on here much recently. I just rotated jobs, and I've been flat out at work. Don't be surprised if this stays the same, and I can only get online at home. I also almost definitely won't be online at all for the next few days, as I'm at a conference tomorrow and Thursday, then I'm driving to and from Peppimenarti on Friday, then I'm driving to and from Katherine on Saturday for the Flying Fox Festival. In regards to that, we all still meeting at BP Palms at 8am? Please SMS me to let me know if you're coming - don't bother trying to ring, as I won't be able to answer. I also suggest if you're coming to Katherine, bring a bucket and some basic car washing gear, as we'll need to give our cars a quick wash before the show and shine, and they'll be pretty filthy after the drive down.
-
I never got it off the block. You can buy it if you're interested though. I've started taking it off, but only got halfway there as I didn't have all the tools I needed.

Good to know your name Quinton. Your engine is NOT a racing version. The 20-valve engine was not available in any Australian models, but that doesn't make it a racing version. That being said, I'd believe $500 for those parts would be about right. HOWEVER, you could have bought aftermarket parts in Australia at about the same price. And they would have arrived within a week.
