  1. Meh, cruises are a piece of piss to organise. I just haven't as I never seem to have any time to actually go on one. I'm happy to go for a Friday night cruise if you want. Anyone up for tonight??? EDIT: Scrub that - we've got free booze at work tonight. I'll be in no state to drive. ;)
  2. Hi! There are many official car clubs in the Darwin region, including NAMSC, MVEC, NT Gassers, Classic Holden Club of the NT, Classic Ford Club of the NT, and many more. There are also multiple motorbike clubs, including the Patriots and the Harley Owners Group (HOG). If I were to be starting a car club up here, it would be a Toyota one, not a general one. But I won't be doing that now.
  3. I am definitely going. If I'm on my own I'll cruise back on the Saturday night, may rethink it if others are coming.
  4. I think I need to get both my radiator and the intercooler heat exchanger tested to ensure that they're working properly. I'm hoping the intercooler water pump is working properly too. Still goes farking hard, it's just really worrying when I hear bubbling and boiling noises. ;)
  5. Anthony had a passenger when he hit the wall. I believe he hit his head against the window as a result. ;) I don't believe he was hurt, but he might have had a headache afterwards.
  6. What's with being so secretive about the whole thing. I'm definitely not going to be using an SC14 on my 4A-GZE - ever. As for the W2A, you really should come and see the GT-Four engine bay after a spirited drive on a regular Darwin day. You can hear the fluid in the intercooler boiling. ;) I think there might be something wrong. ;) Of course, with your car being mid-engined, you can't feasibly use an air-to-air, as it'd be even hotter. Have you considered mounting the intercooler in the boot, still with the radiator up front? This way the intercooler won't get heat soak from the engine, and the intake piping will only be marginally longer.
  7. Maybe the SC14 is close to McFarked? It could be creating excess drag on the motor as a result (eg. farked bearings). I wouldn't have thought the restriction created by the piping would be THAT noticable. Especially not since you've just upgraded from the SC12 and its super-shitty standard piping. Yikes - that's not good at all. If you've put a new alloy radiator in, make sure you get a metal filter to put in between the engine and the radiator inlet. It's too catch all the small shards of metal that come from the iron block engine through normal operation. You don't want them entering the alloy radiator as they can't be pressure cleaned.
  8. Not sure which race - I wasn't there. It was exiting Clubhouse, which is the corner before the hairpin, so if you were there at the time you should have seen it.
  9. Did you change to 16's as well?
  10. I wondered what the big deal about the race was. I'll still race him on low boost first. It will be interesting to see the difference between the cars, if there is any.
  11. What's wrong with your current job? So the SC14 whines a fair bit more than the SC12 then? And S2000's with twinscrews sound FARKING awesome. YouTube it to see what I mean.
  12. Yep, hit a wall. Steering rack is f@$ked, plus there's a fair bit of panel damage.
  13. Anthony is now no longer taking the S2000 to the drags on the 15th, as it definitely won't be repaired in time. I'll wait until he's racing to take the GT-Four down.
  14. Yeah, what he said. And then buy me a race use only ST205 from Japan so I can make a lightweight, streamlined, high power version of my car. I seriously think that with a few fibreglass/carbon fibre panels and a GT30 turbo kit, an ST205 could drop 100-150kg, have about 400-450hp (at the engine), and do very low 12's or high 11's. And a low 1:20 around Hidden Valley. Could be done for about $10,000, including buying the car, all the parts, and all fitment.
  15. Okey dokey, I'll race you on low boost, then on high boost. Just not at the drags, as I obviously want the best times possible. And I'm sure you'll agree the race must take place on a cool night. :eatlead: You coming to the race meet this Sunday?
  16. I don't even want to now - not after yesterday's launch. It actually felt quicker than a redline launch, believe it or not. On high boost it is a fair race. If it were a circuit race you wouldn't remove your springs, shocks, swaybars or strut braces - why should I restrict my performance?
  17. You can borrow the ones from my bigport if you'd like. I'll need them back though.
  18. Scarlet panda??? Mmm-kay.
  19. My access to it has been limited - turns out this was the case BEFORE I loaned it to Lars, but I only found out afterwards. :eatlead: Only a minor one, all of which was fixed very rapidly - not so much a raping as being flashed.
  20. Updated as requested, plus I updated a few others.
  21. Not likely. :bash: I did a bit of a launch last night, not on full revs. It felt quicker than ever!!! Had to relieve my anger about someone scratching the car somehow. :eatlead: I probably will attend the drags after all, as Anthony was saying he'd be keen to take the S2000 down on the 15th. Not going to do any redline launches, but it turns out I don't need to. :hmm:
  22. Simple solution: gun it down your street, knock it out of gear near your house, pull the handbrake and do a 90-degree turn into your driveway, keep the momentum so you roll up your driveway into your parking spot. Piece of piss. :eatlead:
  23. Adam is also a bit scared of ruining the new clutch. I'd be too tempted to do some redline launches.
  24. LOL!!!
  25. Thanks!
