  1. Sunday 5 April. Hey bro, the VTAK just kicked in on my B18C5 - it was fully hektik!!! And you don't really want to go to Hondas - I helped Anthony change the gearbox on the S2000 on the weekend and it ended up taking both Saturday & Sunday. The KE55 only took one day (admittedly a fairly long day). Because he talks to you? :(
  2. I could use a new daily driver - bet I could buy it and get it here before yours. :D But then I'd need to sell it again pretty much straight away. :y:
  3. Hey Daven: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=28376 LOL!!! :y:
  4. Had my licence since late 2000 and bought my first car just after Australia Day 2001. Cars in order, as follows: 1984 AD Honda Accord - 1.8L 12-valve SOHC (Rhonda) - written off in August 2001 1989 HG Mitsubishi Galant SE - 4G63 powah... is crap (SOHC 4G63) (Gladys) - bought late 2001, traded in late 2005 1981 KE55E Corolla with 4A-GZE (Lola) - bought in early 2005, now being parted 2003 ZZE122R Corolla Seca Ascent - bought late 2005, sold today :y: 2x KE55E Corolla parts cars - given to me in about 2006, parted then taken to Sims in late 2007 1985? AE71 Corolla - given to me, sold after sitting for a couple of months 1974 TA22 Celica - 13T - bought in early 2007, still got it in same state as when I bought it :D 1994 ST205 Celica GT-Four Group A Rallye - bought in July 2007, still got it :D 1975 TA22 Celica - 13T, CAMS logbook & steel rollcage - bought in late 2007, still got it in same state as when I bought it :(
  5. Twelve rowers, a man with a whip, and someone beating a drum? Or did they go with the 3S-GTE option? Check out Fensport's website - they've done a 3S-GTE conversion on an AE92 too.
  6. Corolla is gone! Money is headed towards my accounts via electrons. GT-Four will be on the road again next week. ...anyone want to buy two TA22's, an AE101 4A-GZE and various other stuff?
  7. Fark! Hope the new clutch is a bit tougher than the twin plate. Is it worth trying to sell the twin plate, or it's too far gone?
  8. I'm super keen to enter an off street meet, especially now the GT-FOUR IS GOING BACK ON THE ROAD!!! The Corolla is as good as sold, so the GT-Four will be re-registered and repaired for daily driver duties. Hoorah!!!
  9. Drove like a pussy - doesn't count. Apparently we've been moved in case you hadn't noticed. Not sure by whom or why. If someone stops by my box, please apply extra packing tape to make sure I don't get out.
  10. Never been a problem at all. But Anthony's not a soft cock unlike most of the self-proclaimed Darwin car enthusiasts. Even with the crazy number of motorkhana's Anthony has entered, I've never once heard him complain about what it does to his car. In fact, he's never had anything break on an S2000 at a motorkhana at Hughes. The only time something broke was at Hidden Valley, when he busted a CV. Same deal with the Torana - can't recall him ever breaking anything on it either. As for me, the only thing I've broken of note is the TRD fibreglass body kit on the GT-Four, and it's going to shatter at the next Hughes motorkhana - the standard kit is still fine. Have done some damage to CV joints before, but in the Galant that was due to the reverse donuts. The Starlet was entered in motorkhanas from 2004 onwards, including five Rejex Rallies. Some tyres were killed, but no mechanical issues. Norman Millington's Lotus has never had any problems as a result of the motorkhanas. The fact is if you drive fast, you won't be doing much/any damage to your car. It's the people that do skids and donuts that have the issues. A fast driver will have the right flow to avoid jolting components and causing damage. Stephen + Actually entering a motorsport event = Never going to happen :D
  11. I shouldn't take the GT-Four to Hughes events, but will anyway. Have you guys ever actually looked at how f@$ked the bodykit is from doing it??? One more khana at Hughes will probably kill it.
  12. Pussy - if I am willing to put the GT-Four in, you should be fine with the MR2. Anyway, the next motorkhana is at Hidden Valley, and I'm planning on having at least two others in the 2009 series at Hidden Valley.
  13. Bah - be patient! Now you can focus on shitting yourself worrying if the car is going to be in as good a condition as it looked in the photos and hope that you haven't been ripped off. That's what I did when I bought the GT-Four, anyway. :P Just a side note - noticed as I clicked on this thread to view it that it had 29,999 views. So me checking it was the 30,000th view! Yikes! Going to check the car yards to see what they offer me for the black Corolla. Already been offered $7,500-8,000, but I'd like to push the price higher, as I think I can get $8,500, possibly closer to $9,000 (if I'm lucky). That will make it much easier to pay to get the GT-Four back on the road, and to Round Two of the khana series with any luck.
  14. Dave is the man. As for your power figures, STFU!!! The GT-Four is probably only making about 270hp at the flywheel (maybe as high as 300hp). 220hp at the wheels would be great, but then again, if I'd got 300hp at the fly, it should be far off 220hp at the wheels. I needs money to buy some little upgrades. Like an ECU and GT28RS. Hopefully 250kW at the wheels would be achievable without many other mods. Assuming only the turbo & ECU and tuning were needed, I reckon a $7,000-8,000 budget would cover it. And with that sort of power, I might be able to make up for the huge weight difference between the GT-Four and the Levin to make a decent race. LOL. How cool would it be to go pack hunting with: GT-Four (me) - turbo AWD Levin (Stephen) - turbo FWD Corolla (Andrew) - turbo RWD MR2 (Shane) - supercharged/twincharged MR FX-GT (Daven) - hypo NA FWD Toyota four cylinders representin' y'all? LOL. We seriously need to get our cars built (excluding bastard rich boy Stephen :y:).
  15. $1,000 is the headers and the freight to get them over here. And just discovered Trust still do manifolds for the TA22 with 2T-G. Damn I wish I had the money to build the car!!! I'll PM you in regards to the other stuff. JSM don't have the best reputation though...
  16. I can get 264 cams. Or 288. Or 272. You name it, I can source it. :)
  17. I can source a Trust/Greddy 4-2-1 (42mm, 42mm, 50mm) manifold designed for the AE92 Sprinter for around $1,000 delivered. :) Do you want cams with that? Or maybe some TRD lowering springs? Toda chrome-moly 4.4kg flywheel perhaps?
  18. You can change the spring tension with some coilovers, but to change the spring rate you need different springs. Some (most even) coilover manufacturers will have a range of spring rates available when you first purchase your coilovers, though there will generally be a standard setup (eg. AE86's usually come with about 6.0kg/m and 4.0kg/m front & rear respectively). You can buy other springs of a different rate later if you wish. Keith Schulz did this for his IP WRX as the springs that were in it were put in with road rallying in mind, which obviously requires softer rates than for a pure circuit racing car.
  19. Ahh, no not really - my life isn't that dull yet Daven. It's just I've changed swaybars and some bushes before on the KE55, so it's an area where I actually have some idea of what I'm doing. BTW, in some good news - I get to keep my house, provided I can find a new housemate. If you know anyone looking for a room (or two), I have one (or two) available. Asking $120/week for the small room, or $160/week for the big room. Or $220/week for both if there's someone after somewhere to stay plus some storage space. I'm only going to rent to one person/couple. Please help spread the word, as I'd really like to get this seperation bullshit all finalised.
  20. I can give you a hand with the bars if you want, and some of the bushes. Obviously can't do press-in ones though, so check if you've got any like that. I was thinking about entering in the show again. Would be good to have a display again with the GT-Four, the Levin, the FX, and the AW11. Plus anyone else that wants to enter. To enter it's meant to be a club display though, so RollaClub is it unless we created a new Toyota club rather rapidly. I would suggest we just leave it as RollaClub for now, but let everyone know that it's really for any Toyotas. And before anyone suggests it, NO, I'm not going to try and do a ToyMods thing. Haven't been on ToyMods in ages and have no interest in it.
  21. I'm planning on cleaning the black Corolla this weekend to advertise it in next Saturday's paper. Also hoping to hear from someone soon about whether they are still planning on purchasing my 4A-GZE/KE55. Still got the TA22's to try and sell, but I haven't been trying in a while. If the GZE sells, I may just spend a little bit of money on getting the white one registered, but still sell the yellow one as a rolling shell with engine. Once the black Corolla sells, I will have just enough cash to get the GT-Four re-registered as a daily driver.
  22. Hell yeah! RollaClub Lesson #1: Read EVERY thread. :P Thanks for organising the cruise Jon - was a good night. And if he'd swerved right, he definitely would have tapped you as there wouldn't have been a kerb to slow him down. Had it set to panoramic so I could get some knob shots. Still couldn't fit it all in though. :P :P Didn't end up taking many pics - I'll upload them when I'm back in Darwin. Got some video too, but not sure how it's turned out.
  23. Sending you a message now telling you where to go. :P
  24. I am now in Brisbane! Have spotted Hog's Breath, so now I know where I'm going. Looking forward to tonight and meeting all you guys!
  25. This is from someone who advertises himself with the signature: "Life is easy on Ella st". Like you're not trying to score a cock reaming with a line like that!
