  1. Photo shoot has been done. Daven will be giving me the original photo's tomorrow, and possibly uploading some smaller ones tonight. If you have some good photos of your own cars, send them to me and we can get a montage done.
  2. Are you coming Andrew??? No point bitching about things if you're not going to come yourself.
  3. The only responses I've had to this change so far are from Tim and Luke. This isn't going to turn into yet another RollaClub epic fail, is it? Please SMS or PM me to confirm you are still coming.
  4. Further change of plans. I've got to go out tonight. Is Sunday okay with you all. About 1pm? SMS or call me to let me know.
  5. Microtech MT8. Yes, it will be used with the 4A-GZE when I finally decide what I'm doing with it. I'm seriously considering selling both TA22's, and if I do that, then I'd either hang onto the 4A-GZE until I can find a 4A-GE powered Clubman that is the right type and price, buy that, and drop the GZE in, or just throw in the towel and sell the GZE (not keen on that idea). I know I'll never get around to getting the cars built, as much as I know how much I want to see them done and what I've got planned for them. :jamie: Oops, I completely forgot about this. Saturday is still good for the shoot. Tim hasn't responded to my emails, PM's, or SMS's, so I'll take it that he's not interested. The location is my house in Creed Court, Bakewell. Did we want to do a cruise afterwards? I know Luke will be keen to take the S13 out. That or we can have a bbq at my place or something. I'll have to reassemble the BBQ and do a clean around the yard, but that's not too much of an issue. It would be good just to have you all around for a few drinks. You all up for that? Even if you're not able to get your car in the photo, I'd still love to see you come along for the get together. Preferably if you bring some single girls aged 18-28.
  6. That doesn't sound good at all. :jamie: Would it be hard to go back to the SC12 if it comes down to it?
  7. I've heard it's hard (possibly impossible) to get new bearings and other parts for the Toyota superchargers. Obviously the seals are available (TwosRUs), but I would have thought bearings would be something relatively easy to find (eg. CBC). I'm thinking I'll just save my money and get a HTV1320 when I swap blowers. Which means it will probably never happen because it's me planning it. BTW, my rollcaged TA22 is up for sale if anyone's interested.
  8. WHAT??? That's ridiculous!!! My Xtreme flywheel for the GT-Four only cost about $600. You've got an E-series transmission, right? Do you want me to see if I can get you a good price on an Xtreme flywheel?
  9. Nope. I need a 4A-GZE ECU for when I get around to building my 13T-GZEU. It's the only stock Toyota part I'm missing. BTW, I finally checked out those 4WD tyres I'd offered you. They're 225/75 R16 Goodyears. Need 'em gone if you're interested. EDIT: You bastard - editing your post while I'm posting. :jamie: Yes, mine does have the same dip (hadn't looked at it in ages). Looks like mine happens earlier in the rev range though, which would be bad for torque, but wouldn't affect the top end power like I imagine yours would. But in both graphs there's no dip in the power curve at all, which is strange. If there weren't those dips in the boost, you'd have to think there'd be a big power spike at that same point in the rev range. On mine it would mean that max power came on MUCH earlier. Yours would make more sense, as there'd be more max power, and then a more noticeable drop off at the very top of the rev range as the supercharger becomes less efficient and the cams are beyond their optimum.
  10. Damn, that's a nice smooth power curve. Bit weird how the boost drops off to just under 10psi at around 5,500-6,000rpm though. And max boost is only 11psi - could there be a leak in the system or something??? One would think that with the SC14 fitted, boost could get to around 13-14psi and you could make closer to 130rwkw. Is there anyway the ECU could still be limiting boost?
  11. About time you posted again...
  12. LOL - yeah, Stephen's right. Print out or it didn't happen. :bash: Seriously though, 110kW at the wheels is a pretty darn good figure. Definitely better than my 87rwkw. Of course, it still shouldn't beat the GT-Four. :( But I do need to get my act together and get the GZE back in a running car. Preferably a registered one...
  13. F1 cars don't have flywheels - why do you need one? :y:
  14. That sucks. Still will do a group shot, just won't have the Levin.
  15. Yep, the AE102 would be good. Next motorkhana is 22 November.
  16. Saturday the 15th of this month would be good, as the picture(s) need to be sent to JiP_01 before the 25th. As for the location, it will just be the empty block near my house, so we can get the bush behind us to make it look very Territorian. :) BTW, here's the topic on the calendar: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=24431. They will be $20 each plus $3 postage. I am happy to pay for them so we get them posted together to save a bit of cash. And NT/Darwin is meant to be the region displayed for January, so we really need to make it look good. Currently it seems like it will be with the GT-Four, AW11, Levin, and Luke's KE70. Should go and grab my white TA22 from Humpty Doo, as it would look great in pictures (just don't look inside). Would be good if we could get some more Corollas though. I'm happy to put the black Corolla in to top up number - just need to give it a really good clean. I'm also hoping that Tim (zmit) is reading this and would like to get his SW20 in and take the pictures for us...
  17. What's wrong now???
  18. Not much. Not much at all. Anyone interested in doing a group photo shoot for an NT page on the 2009 RollaClub calendar?
  19. I've still got those 4WD tyres available I told you about last time we were chatting, Shane. Not 31's I don't think, but cheap. :laff:
  20. I'm definitely up for that. If only I knew the location... :laff:
  21. Hi Tim! Not much - got a nice clean house, which is good. Got to work out what I'm going to do with all the cars, but I think I've got a plan now. Still trying to sell off excess components - still not having any luck. :P
  22. LOL - awesome repair job!!!
  23. If they're looking forward to testing Lada's, then I'd hate to see their reasonably priced car!!! :P
  24. The only way I can figure it is that they've taken the horsepower figure (550), thuoght it was the kilowatt figure, then multiplied it by 1.341 to get horsepower, but even then it's still only 737hp. I just worked it out!!! Rob is the Stig!!! Top Gear is filmed at an airport - Rob works at airports. The Stig drives the wheels off cars - Rob fills in on the Holden Driving Team. The Stig covers his face with a helmet - Rob needs to!
  25. The rest of this week's no good now, as I've got family in town and will be out and about pretty much the whole time. Sunday night is good though.
