  1. Rally cars never have it going back cos it will stuff a engine that runs at high revs all the time. Rally cars are reving at 6500 + all day and I have been told it will blow a engine if you run it back, we have never had this problem as we vent to the atmosphere like all the other rally cars. You will need to have the PCV or at least a pipe back to the air cleaner for rego inspections but, this can be a fake pipe set up just as long as it looks like it works.
  2. The reason for no Ultimate is due to the new BP 100 octane Ultimate, have been told that the BP 98 Ultimate is no more. I will check the BP web site to see what I can find. Can not find nothing on it :)
  3. A lot of rally cars just run from the breather to the can to the atmosphere. A paint tin well do the job and it is cheap as (about $4 for a new un-used one from a paint shop), just drill a few holes in the lid so it can vent.
  4. I am also building a Corolla Rally car, it will be a 4K powered AE71. Looking forward to playing with it in the dirt soon.
  5. Have a go at the Alpine Rally, it is a great event and it is one that everyone must put on the must do list. It is run by the HRA every 2 years.

  12. I have been told the 4K is the better engine with more off the shelf mods available for it. Also the 4K will rev better for longer and the guys down this way say the 4k built right will s%#* all over a 4ac in the dirt. So I am told =)

  19. Seats have been ordered and should be here this week. :)
  20. In the ACT as long as you use the original seat mounts/rails/tracks there is no need for and engineer to inspect it and give you a certificate :D
  21. Cool, this can be our not topic junk mail type nuffink post. :jamie:
  22. Canberra Toyota is about to come on board and offer discounts to Rollaclub members. Members will need to contact me via PM as you will need a membership card to get the discounts from them or just call Glenn at work 6222 1900, this is to stop any one from walking in of the street and saying they are part of rollaclub to get a discount. Remember to keep your rolla genuine and shop at Canberra Toyota. Located at Belconnen, Fyshwick and Phillip. Call Glenn at Fyshwick on 6222 1900. Discounts will be on parts and Toyota merchandise.
  23. I have known of guys that have gone over the pits and passed rego with welded diffs, just that it was not picked up by the guy doing the inspection or he just did not give a toss. Just coz things are illegal to use on a car or whatever does not mean it is illegal to sell it. If there is still a market for it even if legally it can not be used people will still sell it until they make it illegal to sell it. There maybe some forms of diff lockers that are legal as some 4WD were sold with them. Not sure if they still are or not but, been many years since I looked at buying a new 4WD.
  24. Welded or locked diffs are great for rallying but are not legal on a street car with standard rego. Rally cars with locked diffs are registered with rally rego in the ACT and this is the same in all states a far as I am aware. With rally rego you can only drive the car on public roads to get to a rally, get the car fixed or in transport between stages etc... no day to day driving to and from work. Locked diffs are good but if you do not know how to drive them then don't. Comes down to either you like'em or hate'em, can driv'em or can not driv'em.
  25. Bad News guys. JP Auto Parts has closed down and no longer support the club :D
