  1. All in all I spose it was worth the wait if you got it for that much cheaper? Well, goodluck with the roadworthy, I think we're all hoping that they pass it without engineering :hmm: Hehe, yea tried to beat you. Can't wait to see. The dash sounds pretty cool :S Cheers
  2. Looks real nice man, huge differnece from when you bought it. Hope she passes the roadworthy :hmm: May I ask how much you paid for the respray? Ohhh and any interior shots?
  3. Hey guys. Not much happening except I decided to put a muffler that i got for free on, instead of the stock one. The exhaust still has a resonator before the muffler but yeh. This is just a vid of dad revving it - http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...29012008058.flv (About 1.8 meg) Got one of the car in action, but its 35 meg and I dunno how to make it smaller *sigh* so if anyone wants to tell me I can upload that one also. Cheers. Oh, and hopefully will get the rest of the bodywork done this weekend. Hey mate. Yea, we're going to re drill some drainage holes in the bottom of the boot, where all the rust on the guards was, as well as some others (dad just said he'll do it). Will check the seals and stuff too, cheers mate.
  4. Lookin good mate. What are those new wheels?
  5. Welcome to rollaclub mate. Man, I wanna KE70 :hmm: Awesome pickup, can't wait to see what you do to it. Cheers
  6. Just put together some comparative pictures. Heres how it looks. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...omparative3.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...omparative2.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...omparative1.jpg So yea. Cheers
  7. 6 Months.. Eeek. Lol. You serious?? Cheers mate. Well. I'm loookin for a KE70 as a daily, but I also want a half decent 30/early 55 as a project. But we'll se. Hopefully have a job soon too :hmm: = $$$ Cheers
  8. Rust converter, cutting out old rust (like big bits) Sanding back, using wire + bog. On the bigger holes, like this, http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...24012008246.jpg Same as above, but fibre-glassed from the inside, then the outside, and then bogged over the top and sanded back. Would have cut out the metal and welded in, but the cars only a temp. Cheers
  9. Sounds good, can't wait to see it when it's done. Yea, noticed the new wheels weren't on the front. How much did you pay for the donor? My car would have been good as a donor, but meh. I decided to fix itt. Cheers
  10. Lol, yea. Keep in mind this is the first time I've ever done this so, my jobs not %100. I rubbed back a little bit too much in places, but meh. Cheers http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...27012008271.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...26012008268.jpg Edit: And the guard I showed you needs a bit more rubbing. So yeh. The other sides the same. All the same places minus the fuel cap. Also Just wondering, I donated but didn't get a contributor thing, I feel ripped lol :S Whats the deal with that?
  11. All bogging and fibre-glassing is done. And everything apart from the rear guards are rubbed back. Gave the bonnet a cut to see what it came up like, tis not too bad. Anyone know where to get touch up paint? I just needa prime + then cover the primer for now. Will look into paintjob later if I don't find a KE70. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...27012008270.jpg - My shiny bonnet. :hmm: Not too bad considering it has been out in a paddock for 2 years. Cheers guys.
  12. Bogging + Fibre-Glassing is almost done. All done apart from the rear guards. Shoulder drills, lol all this rubbing back is hard work. Starting to take shape. :) Took her for a drive last night, (first time ever) and I like, clutch is a bit too close to the floor so I'll adjust that. Gonna paint a few bits and pieces in the engine bay later too. Gotta get some paint. I think the colour code is BC. But can anyone confirm that? Cheers
  13. Hey guys, I think what you're doing is freaking awesome. Really inspiring, so much attention to even the smallest detail. This will definately be one of the best cars around. Just read through more then half of this thread. But it was worth it, Cheers guys! Edit: Just finished reading all 52 pages, and I loved every single one :) Can't wait to see more updates. Bed time now I think..
  14. Ahh, i got the yellow one. Smeh. Cheers for the tip.
  15. Man I love these. My brother has one (AE94 CSi Limited) I want one, they're prime. Nice pickup mate, how much did you pay if you don't mind me askin. Cheers
  16. Pretty nice, I'll post a pic. Just remember that camera's aren't always true to colour and wtv. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...25012008257.jpg The circle on the left is where I cut + polished. Don;t worry about the right hand one though. It actually looks better + shiny-er? in person but you get the idea. Haha, yea. Well... It's a decent start I spose. Will post some progress piccies later. Thanks everyone! :)
  17. Sure is. Yea, well. My dad's a good welder, does all kinds of things. Hows your ride comin along.
  18. Lookin good, can't wait to see some more :) Where you planning on racing it??
  19. Haha, it's aliminum so yea, you could anodize them I spose.. :bash: Don't tell me you want a pink one
  20. Hehe, yea thats the plan. Even if I don't spend money on it, cause it seems to be pretty good. The shell might be KE30 anyway so I'd rather have a 4k in it. Cleaned up the engine bay.. A tiny bit  http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...25012008266.jpg Installed Gearknob that my brother turned up for me out of stainless aluminum. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...25012008263.jpg And cleaned up the interior a bit. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...25012008264.jpg Bogging starts tomorrow, hopefully. Cheers
  21. Dad came home with some cutting stuff, so I cut and polished a door to see what it would come up like. Looks pretty nice if you ask me. I would upload a pic, but it doesn't do it justice, so meh. Started working on the rust just now, man its a crap job haha. Oh well, start bogging tomorrow hopefully. Dunno what I'm gonna do with the interior, for now. Might just leave the carpet as it is, put a bit of checkerboard down on the drivers side or something. Oh, just a quick Q: Can you take off the long limpy accelerator pedal and put a normal one on, or are they like that for a reason? Just thought i'd ask before I rip it up :) Cheers guys.
  22. Sounds good mate. Colour looks nice too. So, when you think she'll be getting sprayed?
  23. sixsixone uses msn :) pm for it if you wish
  24. Hah, yea. I bought it from a mate who had a few acres in his backyard. But he was 'drifting' and hit a tree. *Sigh* Dad said he will glue it up for me. Hehe. Tryin not to spend too much on this. Cause I wanna get a overrated shell a bit later, but we'll see. Just pulled the seats out :)
  25. Hey guys, My names Jarrad, I'm new here and this is my first Corolla. I picked it up for $100 bucks, and its got a great condition, re-conned 4k in it. So I thought, what the heck. I have limited experience with shell repairs, so this will be an excellent learning curve for me. I can weld, but will leave that to my dad cause he's pro. So over the next few months, I hope you'll enjoy seeing my progress. http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj48/ja...20KE55%20Sedan/ - Thats my photobucket album with the pictures from when I bought the car. As I progress, I'll upload a few here for quick access, and leave the majoroty of them in the Photobucket album. Cheers Thanks for that Murderess :)
