  1. And sold :( BKS the wheels are still in my garage, so we can chat about them.
  2. I have seen those on a Sprinter before. A google image search would probably bring one or two up
  3. My KE35 ran a Cusco strut brace, to suit a TE37, purchased from AJPS. Someone told me they didn't think they were available any more, but I don't know if that is true or false.
  4. Sad day :( http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/60775-vic-daihatsu-charade-detomaso-for-sale/
  5. Some video of it here at hillclimbs this year Haunted Hills - http://youtu.be/3s_S3ML0qWg Broadford - http://youtu.be/VcUYOXM6jAs
  6. 1993 Daihatsu Charade Detomaso G201 Genuine Detomaso, not a conversion Rego: OMT16L in NSW, expires in August 2012 Original Chassis No: G201S-XXXXXX (Will update this tonight when I am at home and can look at the number!) Registered Chassis No: Police Chassis Number issued in SA (Will update this tonight when I am at home and can look at the number!) • Black. • Mileage is 115,000km, though I believe that the dash was replaced some time in the car’s life previous to my ownership and the mileage on the car is actually more. • Factory 1.6L engine, with factory upgraded cam, and factory close ratio gearbox, LSD and 4 wheel discs • All factory options including power windows, mirrors, tacho dash, dash mat, Nardi Torino leather steering wheel and Recaro seats. Driver’s seat is worn/torn. Factory red carpet still in place too, with a hole under drivers feet. • Koni yellow adjustable shocks front and rear - rebuilt in September 2011 • King low springs front and rear - installed October 2011 • Whiteline camber bolts front and rear - installed October 2011 • Alternator reconditioned and new battery in October 2011. • Project Mu front brake pads, Bendix Metal rears. • Near new slotted RDA front brake rotors • Rear wheel bearings replaced in last 12 months • New windscreen and seal in 2011. • 15inch mags with Toyo R881 semi slicks - half worn • Meridian Motorsport fabricated harness bar/rear strut brace • Willans 3 inch 6 point harness, expiry dated 2011 (good for club use until 2016) Spares include side skirts and wheel arch extensions, and brand new Project Mu Club Spec compound front brake pads, and scuffed up factory 13 inch wheels with two near un-roadworthy tyres on the rears. Body has light hail damage on roof and bonnet that you only notice in the right light, and the bonnet has a dent in the front of it from hitting a galah on the freeway. Driver’s side still has the factory Charade DeTomaso decals, passenger side were removed when it had a rear quarter panel repair. Passenger door also needs a repaint where clear coat has lifted. Otherwise only a couple of carpark dents in the car. No roadworthy provided, though I suspect it would only need driveshaft seals replaced in the gearbox for roady. I am also not sure that the LSD works that well, but this won't effect a roadworthy. Currently used as a hillclimb and sprint club racer. Winton 1.49. Sandown 1.39. Phillip Island 2.08. Rob Roy 29.8. Stiffer springs and a braver driver would see these times improve, but it’s not bad for a slightly improved little road car. Selling as I have exceeded the toy car allowance at home. It has been a highly reliable and competitive road registered club racer that I drive to the track, have my fun, and then drive home again at the end of the day, and I will be sad to see it go. It handles and stops exceptionally well and surprises most people with its performance on track. Price is $4500 ono as specced above. Definitely couldn't build it for this price! Happy to negotiate this downwards if you don't want all the spares, the race wheels and tyres, etc. Contact Adam on 0413 001 666, or email [email protected]. Car is located in North East Melbourne. Happy to deliver to a freight company if the buyer is interstate. Some photos of it from various points in its life with me. Please note that the Sparco seat and mounts are not for sale, unless you want to add $1000 to what you pay! April 2012 October 2011 May 2011 Harness Bar
  7. Well she is finally on her way to Sydney today, thanks to a fellow toymodder who is towing her up. She got a run at our Coffee & Donuts meet two weeks ago.. here is a pic of her when I parked up again. Looks cool as shit dumped into the weeds again! I will try and get my brother to take her to Toyotafest so all you Sydneysiders can have a good look.
  8. Donuts, donuts, donuts, roll up and get your donuts. Sunday June 17th 2012, 8.30am will be our next one, at Brimbank Park, Keilor. Just near the Leaping Lizard Cafe. Gates to the park didn't open until bang on 8.30am, so don't be getting there too early! Reminder that some of the speed humps here are large!

    1968 Corolla

You are not in the right spot, you should be posting in the classifieds area I would think.
  10. I know a guy who has a similar car that is about to be for sale. Its in Melbourne though.. so not sure if you would be interested?
  11. Now with support from Shannons, and Australian Classic Car Magazine. One lucky entrant will receive a free subscription to Australian Classic Car magazine for 12 months. I hope I win, but I guess I shouldn't be eligible huh!
  12. Just over 4 weeks to go now! Looks like we are going to have a great turn out if the weather is good to us!
  13. More pics! Its developing well :)
  14. The sun shone on us by the bay and we had a turn out of around 45 cars and many more people. Old faces, new faces, regular cars and some new ones. Thanks for the venue Slim, it worked well. A couple of highlights Matt's Corolla looking fantastic as always. Should come out more! Tiara had a run and is a cool little drive 35,000 mile 240Z! 15. Don't forget to bring some change for the parking meters just in case the inspectors are around.
  16. No idea who owns that! Don't forget Donuts is on this weekend. There is usually a pre-meet at Eltham Macca's for those in the area, departing at 7.30am Might not happen this time as I am planning on going down to Clayton before the meet to collect something interesting to bring. I hope I make it!
  17. A great shame as I would love to see it, you will have to bring it to one of our social donuts meets some other time!
  18. You blokes are spoiling all the fun of learning how to modify a car here... I remember the first thing I did when I got my first car was buy a SAAS steering wheel for it (was an LJ Torana) The second thing i did was hit myself in the head with the old one as I reefed it off the column :) Then I learned to leave the nut on a little bit.... As for sizes I think the one AJPS sells will be fine. You are more likely to get pinged by the police for not having a padded centre on the steering wheel. This very much depends on the state of your car and the attitude you present when you are talking with the police. Be nice and polite and they are more likely to let something slide through...
  19. We would welcome you on board Alex.. quite a few KE Corolla's in the club... and quite a few of us are from the eastern side of Melbourne, so I think you will fit right in. Make sure you come along to All Toyota Winterfest at Caribbean Gardens on June 24th too. Details else where in the VIC section of the forum or on our website www.tccav.org.au I think you might have already emailed me today - i will reply tonight hopefully when I get home.
  20. I am a +1 for import monster I like the service I receive and the website he has built to allow me to chase my dreams :)
  21. Lots of banter and talking shit! We run a pretty informal meeting - we cover a bit about what has happened in the previous month, as well as what events are coming up in the next month. Along with a little bit of formal club business as required. We try to keep it pretty light hearted. There is plenty of discussion between members about cars and events afterwards too. For most of us its an excellent excuse to go to the pub for a meal and catch up with some good people. And its on tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 8pm. Emerald Hotel, Clarendon St, South Melbourne. People are gathering from 7pm onwards for dinner before hand.
  22. Wowsers.. questions questions questions lol... Doogs - you can have the rusty remains once I am done if you like ;) Kid-Ae - no plans other than to get her running. Theoretically the 2m in it is quite fresh in mileage, but time will tell what state its really in. benhachi - yup that is the stock steering wheel.. horn ring operates the horn.. and the indicators, you turn it one way or the other to turn them on and off. the green tinge is not stock, its thanks to being out in a paddock for 15 years! oldie - haven't got it running. now that I have a sample, I can see the coil install I did was missing plenty. this one will donate its coil set up so that will help things along. thanks for all the comments guys :)
  23. So rather than making me spend months searching for elusive Crown parts online, fate decided that it would be easier to drop another Crown into my lap! This was advertised on gumtree on Thursday morning for $200, and after initially thinking I would try and buy some bits off him, I decided it would be easier to just go and get the bugger. So I called the old bloke who had it in his paddock and begged him not to sell it until I got there Sunday morning. He was happy to do so, and so I went and collected it this morning So this is what we found in the paddock.. apparently sitting in the paddock since sometime in the 90's. Rather rusty by 2012! This one is a manual 3 speed with overdrive. Plan is to strip the bits I need off it and then send it to the great scrap metal gods.. unless of course someone wants what is left! Here are a couple of instagram art shots just for fun. One Crown good.. Two Crowns better... Ratrodders would love the moss... And the lichen I reckon I would have paid $200 just for a steering wheel! Awesome badge
  24. Details of Donuts in May coming right up. Date - May 20th Time - 8.30am to 10.30am Location - Carpark just to the south of Brighton Baths and Brighton Yacht Club, off the Esplanade. Please fill the carpark from the southern end first so we don't annoy the locals too much. Coffee should be available from cafes around the place, we will bring donuts as usual. As always, no anti-social behaviour please! Link to map of the location http://g.co/maps/3bdxk
  25. as evan has stated multiple times now, there is no 5 stud hub that will bolt straight on to the corolla stub, as its a tiny little thing designed for holding tiny little corolla hubs the corona strut, with the ms65 hubs, is what you will need if you want to buy parts at a wrecker. people in the know realise that the the ms65 hubs are in demand and charge accordingly - like $350. then you add the price of corona struts, maybe another $100. then some decent inserts for them. maybe another $200. then some decent springs to suit your combination. another $200. then you might want some pads. another $100 if you put something decent in there. and there will be other miscellaneous shit I have forgotten, but we have already spent near on $1000 which is starting to make the hoppers stoppers kit at $1300, with all brand new readily available and easy to service parts, look pretty good.
