Don't get me wrong, i hope it lasts a while for you and wish you all the luck in the world :P I just reckon if you give it one really hard launch then she might give way But hey, i'm far from being an expert so yeah Look forward to seeing how it goes though :(

Hey George How the F%^k are you? havent spoken to you for a while Yeah i'm getting there mate. I'll be happy once the bay is done so i can start getting the engine in & sorted I'd be happy with maybe 120-130kw at the wheels based on what i've seen & heard that should be quite acheivable on 8-10psi :P
-
Awesome, Well that definatley sounds like the go then That makes me feel better, and i wasn't doubting you Luc just checking all my info mate :P
-
Yeah i'm pretty much going for a nice clean streeter (a couple of pegs below show car) so i definatly wont be spraying the body myself I know you have to put a clear over the acrylic and if i can put a 2 pak clear on then it will be much stronger, however i want to be sure the 2 pak thing can be done before we do it Cheers - Andrew
-
So you can put a 2pak clear over an acrylic? i got told you couldn't but the guy wasn't too sure
-
Yeah the body will be pro sprayed when i save up the coin and get to that stage on the list And the colour is only available in acrylic unfortunatly, I would have preferred 2 pak
-
20psi on the 4afe factory bottom end......Awesome, It should go pretty hard for that one launch
-
Hey Luc Me and a couple of other helpful hands are going to do the prep and priming but seeing as the colour i chose is metallic, i will probably enlist the help of a pro to actually spray Unless Mick is feeling up to the challenge?
-
Sounds like you plan to earn a lot of money as well LOL It's good though, go after what you want at your age and you wont be dissapointed that you didn't later in life

Hi Guys I am just wanting to know if someone can give me a good offset range for a KE35 cause i am not sure which is acceptable I am looking at some wheels that are 15"x6.5" with a +25 offset PLEASE HELP  Cheers - Andrew
-
That sucks man, Sorry to hear about that  You can always just 4age your ke70 down the track anyway, Piss easy conversion from what i've heard
-
Hey Mark Hows your 20 going? I saw that you finally found your CAS thats great I'm keeping the colour on the down low at the moment but as soon as the engine bay is sprayed i'll post up the pics
-
Yeah thanks for proving my point Matt but i was half asleep this morning when i wrote that
-
I'll let you in on a little secret, It wont be satin black, its going to be painted the colour that i will eventually paint the car in
-
Some of the spelling on this club is absolutely shocking. It makes me wonder what happened to the education system since i left school. Is it just laziness or can people really not spell these days?
-
Thanks Mick She got degreased this arvo so tomorrow, let the sanding begin LOL
-
Hey Luc, At the moment i'm just spraying the engine bay non factory colour FTW (undisclosed colour) but i will spray the rest of the car down the track And as for the welder, I have NFI what type it was :) I didn't do the welding Good ole Mr Marty K took care of that for me ;) And yeah Trav i'm getting there and let me tell you that i can't wait to see it finished either  Coffs harbour is a long way to go for a drag LOL :D Andrew
-
Well i thought i'd post up a bit of my progress in the last week or so As previously mentioned, Mick & Marty came over to give me a hand cutting out that horrible rust spot and then welding up all the little useless holes Since then i have basically removed everything from the engine bay, Brake booster & lines, Fuel lines (almost, still have to take the steering box out to remove the line) all wiring, removeable plates from the firewall wiper motor & washer bottle and all the little clips everywhere and also the front gaurds I also spent a few minutes with the wire wheel to see how well it removed the paint, as you can see in the photos, it does a good job So tomorrow i'll degrease the bay and cut the hole for the hydrolic clutch and then i can begin taking the paint off the rest :P And also a pic of my new intercooler :P Enjoy some pics Cheers - Andrew

I'm keen for a 4age one :P
-
^^^^^^^^^^ Well said
-
Same as the ones i'm looking at
-
Yeah they have a recessed section for the nut to sit in and these wheels will probably only be on for a year or so until i have enough coin to get the Simmons that i really want but at $654 per rim plus tyres, i'll have to save a little :P
