  1. You can hi-jack my thread, i don't mind  The ones i am looking at on egay come as a set of 4 anyway
  2. I'll have to get back to you on that one
  3. Yeah the ones i'm looking at are 25mm thick and billet with the hub centric section so based on what everyone has said, these should be the best of the bolt on spacers i guess
  4. Yeah i knew that they were illegal but most of the descent looking wheels arould are for the FWD offset and spacers seem to be the only way around it I found an awesome set of 16x7 Genuine Simmons B45's that would have been awesome but with the $1600 pricetag for rims only, thet aren't a cheap option
  5. Thanks for all the responses guys, It seems that as long as i install them correctly then they shouldn't give me any greif and as for the centri, the spacers i'm looking at seen to have their own section which protrudes in the centre which i assume is to imitate the factory centri so that part is still sharing some of the load if that makes sense :y:
  6. Hey Guys n Gals Just wondering if anyone has had experience with bolt on wheel spacers? I have a set of wheels that i would like to use on my car but they will require wheel spacers I AM AWARE of the legal standpoint but i'm more interested in the fact that they are actually safe to use, has anyone on here used them? Had any problems? Cheers in advance - Andrew
  7. That looks hot mate  :y: :y:
  8. There is a difference between constructive critisism and bagging out. Calling someone gay because of the colour of their car is just childish and disrespectful
  9. Hey man Nah i'm definatly not going to do any cutting. Othewise i'll have to pay Kevin a fortune to fix it LOL. I'm just going to see if i can unplug enough to pull the engine bay stuff out but if not then i'll take your suggestion ang put all the wires in a bag or something and tape it up nice and tidy so i can get it sprayed at least And Luc, I didn't take any photos of the dummy fit, I was only going to take them when i do the actuall fit but i'll send them to you personally as soon as i do it :)
  10. If anyone actully took the time to talk to him they would realise that he has another car in the works as well which is pretty much the complete opposite of this one And also the fact that he is restricted on his P's might have something to do with the fact that there hasn't been an engine conversion yet Did anyone think of that or is everyone just so insistant on bagging him out? Sorry I keep jumping on this thread KPROLN, I just get the shits when people bag other peoples rides :)
  11. Hey KPROLN You should start a new thread without all the garbage from people who have no imagination BTW car looked nice 'n' shiny at the show on Sunday
  12. Hey Cuzzo Unfortunatly i'm not on Toymods yet (maybe i should be though) Thanks for thinking of me but i don't have a spare $900 ATM for the brakes and like Radrollaz said after you, I'm probably better off getting the corolla ones down the track. But thanks anyway man :) Don't worry Mick, I haven't lost focus of where we're at mate  I've got a shitload of things to do before i get to that stage and number 1 is finish the engine bay The Radrollaz crew (Huge thanks to Mick & Marty 8/   ) came around and helped me to get a start by cutting out the rust under my battery and re-welding a plate and welding up the useless holes in the engine bay Today i stripped out the brake booster and some of the rear brake lines. I also took off all the firewall plates and bonnet hinges and removed the speedo cable This week i have to remove the complete dash, Take out all the wiring, Remove the fuel line, Remove the front 1/4 panels, the front brake lines and grind a couple of little things that wont be used in the engine bay Then i have to go over the whole bay with a wire wheel and sand paper to get her ready for filler and then Hyfill I'll post some pics up after next weekend when it's pretty much ready for the next stages of prep Cheers - Andrew :)
  13. I'll come and stare at it on Sunday at the show :hmm:
  14. Looks & sounds awesome mate Top notch :hmm:
  15. Damn you for getting that diff for that price Where th f%*k did you get it?
  16. Adam said it all. I have seen this car in the flesh and it's a very tidy unit and although its not my cup of tea either, I can appreciate all the work that has gone into it If people can't post positive comments in someones ride thread then they should keep their opinions to themselves I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone started bagging your car in your thread :hmm: Keep up the good work mate, Car looks good :y:
  17. You really have to ask yourself a few questions first like How much do you want to spend? What do you want out of the car? Performance, Responsivness, Fuel economy or just balls out Horsepower What skills do you have? How knowledgable are you on engine conversions? Are you going to do the work yourself? Ask yourself all those questions an then you'll have a better idea of the way to go with your car
  18. Yeah Mick i was going to use satin black in a can seeing as its the engine bay but you reckon i'll get a better finish with the gun? Maybe that's not a bad idea, I'm always very grateful for help especially someone with an engine bay that looks like yours :y: I'll have to remove as much shit out of the bay as i can (washer bottle, overflow e.t.c) but i think i'll leave the brake stuff and the wiring alone so i don't buggar it up :) I was thinking about cutting out that rust with a grinder, a neat square and then riveting a thin gal plate over it so i can re-open it later after engineering for a cold air intake or something as long as it doesn't take away any structural integrity. I don't know, let me know what you think
  19. Seeing as your Murderess it would have to be something like Killerolla
  20. The ultimate name - Mello Yello
  21. Surley Solo would be more fitting being yellow
  22. Yeah cars are fun LOL I'm just about to attempt a 4agte into a Ke35 and i have hardly any mechanical experience and no electrical so yeah looking forward to many a sleepless night :y:
  23. Any questions, Taz is definatly the man or another guy on here i think his login is Kingnathan or something but if you get it set up right you'll get more hp than a N/a 4age
  24. You'll be a lot happier with a turbo setup thean the N/a Weber extracters is a bit of fun for a while but if you want a decent increase then go the 4kt as long as you keep it on reasonably low boost you'll be fine I've had the N/A 4k and it was fun but i soon felt the need 4 speed Andrew :y:
  25. Well i haven't updated for a little while and after going to the Radrollaz cruise yesterday i'm all pumped about getting the thing on the road as soon as possible I finally got the 4k out a few weeks ago and its gone to its new home in Coffs (Enjoy Trav) and i am now going to start work on prepping the engine bay After taking out the battery, i discovered a nice rust patch underneath soooo i'll have to cut that out and then clean up the bay for a good degrease (as you can tell it's in need LOL) I'll also spray the engine bay satin black and fit the clutch master cylinder I should be getting my engine mounts soon (thanks to Blackrolla80 :y: ) so then i can really get to work :y: I've also posted a couple of pics of things i got in the last few weeks - My microtech & hand controller, My loom (looks very farkin scary) and my surge tank I also got my AE71 radiator heavy duty twin cored and my 4agze CAS & injectors (Thanks Jono :) ) but i'll post pics of them later Anyway enough talk and a few pics, I'll post some more when i get some progress next weekend
