Well actually Champ I am simply getting rid of the exhaust with the engine as i wont need it anymore, I told him it would most likely need to be modified to fit on but wasn't sure The exhaust component of the engine sale is quite insignificant so i wasn't actually trying to rip him off, i have been 100% honest with all my messages to him and everyone else Besides, the extractors should fit without an issue and i don't appreciate being made out to sound dodgy when i am being the exact opposite Perhaps you should think more about your posts before posting them

Woohoo!!! :dance: :cool: :yes: Finally some new goodies arrived after some long waiting My new (second hand) RWD starter motor My new Boost gauge My new cast turbo manifold And my personal favourite, My new T25/T28 turbocharger ;) Now all i need to do is get the damn engine in the car and attach all the aftermarket goodness ;)

Wouldn't the ae71 have a 4a motor with a T50 gearbox & therefore not compatible with a k sereis engine?

Not that long ago when you clicked on a topic to go to the first unread post it actually took you to that post where as now it takes you to the top of the page I know it doesnt take much to scroll down a page but i was just wondering why that changed and if it could be changed back? And i like the idea of merchandise however it would probably take a lot to organise My 2 cents Cheers - Andrew :S

Just thought i would post up a few pics and small update of progress Pic of my engine bay currently Got some goodies T50 gearbox Slave cylinder setup off ae71 Oil pressure gauge Now fitted into dash And the most important part - My new workshop fridge!!!! (not quite running yet :bash: )

Yes those pistons & rods will fit in and the blue writing on top means you have the first gen 4age which has the 3 rib block

4agze would definatly be your best bet as it is factory set up for forced induction However if you can't find one or cost is an issue then the 4age bigport with red & black writing on top would be the next best thing as they arent quite as strong internally but they do have the 7 rib block run a slightly lower compression factory so you can put a few psi in without too many issues Compression ratios 4agze - 8.9:1 4age Bigport - 9.4:1 4age Smallport - 10:1 I hope that helps

Hey Adam I picked the motor up on ebay as a low km import Yeah i reasearched it and realised it was the 2nd gen of 4age's which has the lower 88kw rating so it has the 7 rib block without the oil squirters and i also found that one of the reasons for the lower power rating is cause this engine has the AFM not map sensored but that will change with the microtech And the other factor is the compression ratio which in the 100kw motor has 10:1 and the 88kw has 9.4:1 so the plus is that i should be able to run slightly more boost running on the factory bottom end (maybe 8-10 psi) And thanks for the tip on that manifold, I don't suppose you know the best place to source one?

Cheers for the comments guys And Brad, I'm kinda learning this stuff as i go but i know i'm getting a microtech LTX-8 with loom, coil packs and a hand controller so i'm not sure what needs to get modded but i am tossing up whether or not just to turbo the motor as soon as i put it in rather than wait and get the tune done twice

Oh OK sweet as now i know what he is talking about And yeah i figured i would have to break out the wet n dry for many hours of hand cramping fun (and not the good kind LOL)

G'day Brad I picked up the computer 2nd hand from Queen20v, Which was running on a 20v (funnily enough) and before purchase i rang microtech and they reckon it should go straight on without changing the settings BUT, he did say that if it did need to get reset then it would cost $450 which i thought was a rip off, however i did get it with the hand held as well so i can only hope that it helps them speed up the tune process I do have a guy that tuned my twin carbs who apparently is a bit of a fuel guru all round so hopefully he can sort me out Although i havent told him my 4age plans yet :dance: I can only hope it all works out for the best :yes: What do you mean by atmo 4age's?

Yeah Thanks Mick I'm super excited about it, I've now got a microtach on the way as well as a T50 box so i don't need too many more peices before i can think about starting :dance:
