$4000 is not going to be enough money to do this conversion :) For everything from brakes diff upgrade suspension upgrade setting up your turbo gear fuel upgrades plus actually fitting the engine into the car(ie wiring mounts etc) $4000 wouldnt even get you the parts And then engineering on top of that Realistic figures if you can do a few things yourself like get the engine mounted in the car install gearbox tailshaft & diff yourself you would be looking at $9,000 - $15,000 If you want a drive in drive out situation i reckon $20,000 + These arent small projects and for any restrictive budget, its better to just buy one already done Me, i'm an idiot :D and attempting to do it but trying to do what i can myself to save cost Have a think about what you want out of the car and then make an informed decision

I don't see why you couldnt fit the smallport head but i would do some investigating first to see what would happen to the engine specs I believe the smallport runs a higher compression so you would have to work out if it would simply up your compression or play havoc. Anyway a little investigating will sort that question out :P

Offer him $1000 and see what he says i guess, If you can get all that for $1000 then thats a bloody good deal

I know fellas i'm getting there!! Its all comes down to dollars When your self employed and you take holidays you don't earn any money. But now i'm back at work dollars are starting to come back in again so its gonna be all systems go :P Should have the engine bay sprayed in the next month then i can start putting everything back in including that tasty silvertop thats eyeing me off from the garage :(

Yeah that sound reasonable to me I just got quoted $1100 for a full system including custom extractors and a cat converter (which is why its a bit more) But he basically said the same thing, $600 for extractors
