  1. SOLD................................................Good luck Bryan, Hope you can make somthing out of it. Paul.
  2. WTF.....................................I just had to post a few picks. My wife is not a rev head. She would much rather play with her animals, (dogs, cows etc) and yet my son can get her sanding the bonnet of the rolla for him while he talks on the phone to his mates.
  3. Mate, let me start by saying how incredible your ride is. Its a credit to you, and your two mates. As for the petrol smell, (if you havent already found it) on my ke20 when it had the standard fuel tank, they have a breather from the top of the filler neck. It runs up the rear pillar to the roof and then back down to the boot near the rear of the left hand wheel well. In mine, the hose had perrished and that was where the smell was coming from. It might be different on the later ones thow. Can i ask you what brake master cylinder you are using. Thanks mate :laff:
  4. Wife has cracked it................ Too many cars.......................................... $200. (Mods, feel free to move)
  5. Na prob b4 my time. We used to run a Diahatsu Cherade. It went well untill it went for a roll in the dirt. We won both Junior and FWD class for 2008.

No, from my father actually, but he raced around the same time as Sir Jackie.

Mate, my best tip is get all your braking done before you get to the corner. There is no point in trying to brake and turn at the same time. Slow in , fast out. And in the corner, don't put your foot down till you know you don't have to take it off again. Good luck mate and have fun. Paul.
  9. Hi slider, we have an khanacross at the track this Sunday if you are not doing anything. I am not racing but time keeping so will be there. If you are coming let me know and I will lend you a workshop manual so you can read up on them. Then any questions, just ask. I am up that way all the time so could drop in and give you a hand if you get stuck. Let me know if you are coming on Sunday. Its free entry. Cheers Paul.
  10. Arrr mate, you crack me up. The radiator overflow bottle is actually my catch can. For cars under 2.0lt you need a 2 lt catch can and over 2.0lt need 3lts. Reasons why I used this. 1 very light weight, 2. a lot cheaper than one of those Fancy alloy ones, and it does the same job. For a radiator overflow I just use a 600ml Coke bottle. Cheap and light. Thanks for your comment. Cheers Paul.
  11. Thanks Adam, you are a wealth of knowledge as usual. Cheers Paul.
  12. WOOOHOOO The motor is finnaly running. I couldn't believe it. I wound it over with the spark plugs out untill the oil pressure came up, put the plugs in, hit the starter button and away it went. Instant! Carbies not set, dizzy only a guess, and after about 1 min it would even sort of idle. Big camms so idle is very rough but it still idles. Just to pick the brains of the 2tg boys, I went to Repco and was told they do not make spark plugs for 2tg's. Acording to my manual, 2t run NGK BP5ES and 2tg run NGK BP5EZ. they only had the (ES). What is the difference and will it matter. If anybody runs a different plug, let me know. Thanks Paul
  13. Just a few picks to show that it hasent come to a complete standstill. The body work is coming on slowly. And the motor is nearly ready for a fire up.
  14. Dale mate, long time no see. Its about time you got your ass into gear. September we have the Winton sprint on the 5th, and a hill climb at our track on the 19th. So get your ass into gear boy. Keep in touch and let us know how its going.
  15. Hi Philbey, I have since found out that there are 2 Holley regs. 1 goes from 1-4 psi and the other from 4.5-10 psi The latter being used on 4brl carbies like Holleys etc. They run on 8 psi, where as Webers, SU's and the like run on about 4 psi. This one was off a 55 Cheve running a small block and holley, so there is my problem. Thanks for the input. Cheers Paul.
  16. yeah mate, had a simmilar problem years ago with a 55 Cheve. (Bloody embarassing) I have a small pump to lift from the tank and fill a small swirl pot. The holley then picks up fuel from there. As the fuel level is always higher than the pump, I think I should be OK. Cheers, Paul.
  17. Bumma. I hopped to catch up with you there. :-(
  18. Thanks Adam. With the holley reg I could only get it down to about 12psi so I have piggybacked a speco reg and its at about 4.5 psi now.
  19. A quick question for any one reading this. Because I am using a 2tgeu block there is no provision for a mechanical fuel pump. There for I have fitted a Holley Blue electric pump and a Holley regulator. My question is, what pressure to run the fuel for Webers. I am thinking about 4 to 5 psi. Thanks. Paul
  20. My trick is to w8 till they are about to check what I don't want them to check, then hand them my helmet to check and then the log book to sign and they forget all about it :-)
  21. Adam, have you still got the 35 and if so are you going to do the Phillip Island 6 hour this year?
  22. Na I'm thinking blue and yellow, the white is inside and the engine bay. The scrutineers used to have a sook every time they checked it becausethey said it looked dirty. So while the engine was out I thought I would give it a coat of paint.
  23. Cheap and effective, I love it. Thanks man. Motor is finally back together and sitting in place. Hopefully this weekend will be ready to fire up.
  24. Thanks heeps man. I have been looking for an upgrade for ages but all the others meant running biger than 13" wheels. I have got an excelent supply of 13" race tyres so I wanted to stick with them, Cheers Paul :P
