  1. Car went well Dave, I did 352 km for the weekend and it didnt miss a beat. We except for jumping out of 5th gear. You only get into 5th in 2 places so it was ok. I just held it in. Just reached 200 kmh down the straight then back off and tip into turn 1 at 160. LOVE IT !!! Cheers. Paul.
  2. Thanks to all the Rolla Club guys that came down to say hi.
  3. Thanks tojo2 Maybe we should pin this somewhere, Cheers.
  4. Cheers mate, I have a spare T50 for my ke20 but I'm building a ke70 for my wife and have a 4ag to replace the 4k but need to change the bellhousing to fit.
  5. Same?? as in what respect. The T50 is from a 2t engine and the t40 is from a 4A
  6. Will a T40 bellhousing bolt onto a T50 box?
  7. I will be running my Wife's Seca again this year. My ke20 is still in bits.
  8. Any other Rollaclub members running in the Six Hour at Phillip Island this year. It would be great to catch up.
  9. Big job going 4AGE but from what i have seen so far i'm sure you are up to the challenge. Good luck mate.
  10. Hi Pete, I did some checking and it appears that the C V joints aren't up to it. When I get that sorted its a sure thing. This one has power steering so shouldn't be a problem for Jill to steer it. I have been told about a guy in Dandenong that upgrades the drive shafts with V6 Magna C Vs. Sounds like the go. In Hill climbs there are a lot of off camber corners and with an open diff you loose too much time. As for the cam seal, i put a breather between the 2 cam covers. don't know if that was the problem but at least it will eliminate that from the list of possible causes. My biggest fear was to spread oil all over the track and spoil the day for all the other competitors. It is round 2 of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship so there are drivers from all over Aus. Thanks also to ke70dave for your input. I was going to pull the other cam cover off Jills last year car but then I thought of a breather tube between the 2. Let me know what you think. Cheers and thanks guys. Paul.
  11. Hi guys, just finished my wife's new race car. Its the same as her old one but this is a lot lighter. Took it to the track today for a shake down before round 2 of the Victorian Hill Climb Championship next Saturday at Haunted Hills. That's where my problem surfaced. After about 6 laps of hard driving, the car developed a bad oil leak. Left a trail about half way round the track and back to the pits. Put it back on the trailer and took it home. On closer inspection, i found it had blown out the front cam seal. (4AGE) Has any body had this problem. I have just done cam seals, crank seal and timing belt. I am wondering if it maybe built up too much crank case pressure in the one side (the other cam cover has the breather that goes to the catch can. Any help would be much appreciated, as I don't want to go next week and do 1 run and have the same thing happen. Cheers.
  12. Hi guys, any body from Rollaclub doing the Phillip Island Six Hour this year? I am driving my wife's AE82 Seca. (my ke20 is still in bitz). If so come down and say gday. Team Cranky. Car 32D. Cheers. Paul.
  13. Sorry Craig but I agree with your wife too. Cheers. Paul.

  15. Arrr I loved Mr Squiggle, but not half as much as this build. Inspiring, keep it coming. Cheers. Paul
  16. Hi guys, any help would be great. I am thinking of locking the diff in my wife's ae82 Seca (welding) and was wondering if anybody has done this. She has only been racing or a year but I think she is ready for it. She won her class in our club championship last year. My only concern is there is not much of her and weather the steering will be too heavy.I assume you could get power steering for 82s but I think it would be hard t find. Cheers.Paul.
  17. Mate so sorry to hear the news. Hope you are both OK. Please tell me there will be a rebuild thread. Cheers. Paul.
  18. Well guys its been far to long but its time to get back onto my racer. I have finished putting the new motor in my wife's race car so its time to show mine a bit of love. My wife won her class (SS up to 1600) at last weekends Hill climb at Haunted Hills, so the motor must be ok. I am replacing the standard Corolla Borg Warner diff with an R31 Skyline one. The standard diff has served me well with only 1 failure in 15 years. and even though it was a CIG locker, I never broke 1 axle. The 28 spline R31 diff has its knockers but from the research I have done, it should be more than adequate for my 2TG. I wont go into too much detail because there is plenty of info on these conversions on the web but if someone has a specific question, feel free to ask. The standard R31 diff straight from the wreckers. The bare housing ready for removal of the brackets, After a couple of hours with an angle grinder. The difference between the old and the new.
  19. Thanks Pete, your a champion. Cheers, Paul.
  20. I need help with what this pipe connects too. I think it is called the Auxiliary Air Valve
  21. Well I've finally got the motor back together and sitting in the car. Hopefully I will get a chance this weekend to finish it off and start it up..
  22. Thanks' Pete. It still sounds awesome too. I have got the bug again. I read about the Steerfast Rally KE30 and decided it was time to pull my finger out and get back on the track. I'm getting my wife's ae82 back together and am going to sell it to fund the ke20. Did you ever do anything with that 2tg? Cheers mate. Paul.
  23. Thanks guys for your information. So from what i can gather I would be best to use the pink. would that be true. They are for a 4AGE bigport in an ae82 Seca. And yes Reed that is my ke20 sports sedan (old school 2tg) Cheers. Paul
  24. E F I ? Hi guys, have finally started putting the motor back together. (Thanks Subaru_Kid ) I need some info from you EFI Experts. (I'm a carby guy) Can some one tell me the difference between the two injectors. I'm thinking the black are standard but the pink?? Cheers. Paul.
  25. Craig.........................What can I say. I am inspired. I am going to get off my ass, get back out in the shed and start work. I have 2 race cars in the shed and both are in bit's. Thanks for the motivation. Your workmanship is a credit to you, keep it up. Cheers. Paul.
