True, but $140 is two tanks of gas & I'd probably never use them again. Like the ratchet ring spanners I'd like to have but can't justify buying...
$110 is a more realistic price and they are well worth the money..
-
you need a good set of ratchet crimpers (Highly recommend quikcrimp ratchet crimpers)..
-
Just give me a bell and I'll drop round and we'll go over it :)

chemical paint stripping is the best to take it back to bare metal. You can use household paint stripper, it does the same as automotive stuff. apply with a paintbrush nice and thick and let it sit till it starts to bubble. Then scrape off what you can with a scraper. Just make sure to wear eye protection and don't get it on your skin or you will know you are alive..
once stripped then you can sand off whats left..

I know you can! I'm trying to work things out myself but I would love your help and advice. :laff:
well when you are ready i'll come round and give you all the advice you need :)

Well it is about time I made an update to this. Finally got some motivation to do some work to it last weekend with the assistance of Teddy. (Find it hard sometimes between doing jobs for everyone else).
We managed to rip most of the stuff off the old 4K, pulled the old intake manifold and extractors off and did a dummy fit up of the upright gear i have.
Had to drill out some holes in the manifolds earlier in the week at work. Still a bit of work to go in to it but at least I have made a start to it.

The inlet is 345mm from the valve opening to the tip of the trumpet. Thats what I designed it to be.
Hopefully it performs like I have modelled.
Still need to shave the tensioner a bit more so it tightens fully, need about 3mm more movement, but that's easy to do.
Need to get to wiring it, medicine man, feel like a challenge? :laff:
If you want it to look sexy i can make it happen :P

those pictures are getting me a tad excited, lol

why not just use a dual headlight relay?
much simpler and neater..

boss' son put some 15x8" zero offsets on his ke70 and had to flare the guards a bit because they just stick out past the guards..

must be a fuel supply problem if when you sprayed the wd40 into the intake it made it kick..
-
The yellow ke70 was a daily driver for years, At low RPM it was fine.
-
I have the 104 in my yellow KE70 with 4K, Extractors, DHLA40s etc.
Can confirm no lumpy idle..
Used to pull hard when the motor had compression, lol..

Went out today to see what I could do to help get this running and it now runs :P
