  3. Mate those bumpers with the end caps come out on nz corollas factory. The end caps can be had here on trademe from anywhere between free and about $50 for a overrated set. No point in chopping down you te** bars though just get some ke70 ones. Theres a guy here thatll sell you the front bumper, endcaps, twin headlight bezels, and grill BRAND NEW for $380 n.z (only my thoughts though it is at the end of the day your car and choice.) GoodLuck :) Cheers Sam
  4. Have a look here mate.. He usally has them for $340ish buy now.. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-226177149.htm
  5. Thats funny Mine does it only in 4th and is a 5speed. I replaced the diff, drive shaft universals and wheel bearings and it still does it. I have put it down to the gearbox. It also has a little vibration in 4th. Seems very strange though why its only in 4th. Good luck though, I hope yours is an easy fix.
  6. This MAY help..... http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...a_tough_K_motor
  7. nick name-dopedx real name-Sam ride-On the hunt for a overrated 70, many previous rollas
  8. The back lights will go straight in but for the front ones you need new gaurds bonnet, as its different to your one and the panel between the windowscreen and bonnet and if your doing it completly you need the panel under the front bumper. Oh and the bumpers are diffrent and the end caps bolt in differently.. Definatly possible though i have done it myself...Looks heaps better :)
  9. You can use the standard gearbox. They may have a wider block but it narrows down for any kseries gearbox. Just the sump needs a little tap to make it clear.. Standard driveline will be fine as long as you don't give it complete death all the time ,but obviously youll probably end up breaking things with a 4 or 5k anyways if you abuse it enuf.. Great conversion from what iv heard and seen.. I havent done this conversion myself but it was only last week i was having a chat to a guy with one in his ke30 over here in New Zealand and he said it was 'as easy as bolt in and away you go pretty much'.. Sam
  10. I'm from chch. I'm slowly collecting parts at the mo just trying to get outa debt (young and stupid getting a big loan but thankfully nearly gone) then itll be all go trying to find a overrated ke70 sedan to start with and build it up from there. Still deciding what motor to finnally go with though. Hada few 70s starlets and 85s before but thought newer would be better but hated the new car feel lol. can't beat the oldskool toyotas :)
  11. He hooked every one up. Got a dam good deal too if i must say so myself iv recently tried to get some and theyr nearly double the price Brodie could get them at.Any ways this is one phat starlie bro. Are you from dunners? think i may have seen it down there. Keep up the good work mate ,I'm keen as to see how you go about building this new motor.. (p.s the last one had a nice rumble to it i reken :P ) Cheers Sam
  12. hey mate theres a guy over here in n.z that makes em but its 7hundy for the set up.. Not cheap but they do make a sik whine.. If you were intrested i could get his details for ya
  13. Hey mate my old 4k did exactly the same thing.. My starter was playing up so i got a new second hand one but it had a heat sheild which i took off haha i know what an idiot (oringinal never had one so i didnt think it was nesersery) . It would start good as cold but never hot. All i did was replace it for another second had one and for some reason it just worked (no heat shield either) I think its just the nature of an older car. I would suggest just trying another they arnt too dear.. But if you do get stuck they can sometimes just need a lil tap with a spanner or something.. Good Luck and sorry if this is usless info you probably already know.. Cheers Sam
  14. There was a starlet that was just for sale on trademe over here in n.z which hada 5k which had bin bored out and had 4agze pistons fitted so it can be done. Cost him 5gs (in recipts) for the work.. Was turbo running a single 40mm sidedraft. Bit excessive if you ask me but suposedly went like the clappers..
  15. hey mate if you search electronic dizzy hepza info will come up but the black/orange goes to the positive side and the black is negative.. I just used my standard one as it came factory. cheers.. oh and sorry if iv screwed this up I'm new and its my first post but have been the quiet watcher for awhile now :)
