  1. I have had ke20 struts all bolted up in my Ke10, the only thing I had to do was get the Ke20 balljoints pressed into the Ke10 lowerarm which I did and I was looking to get custom tie rods to go from Ke10 inner to Ke20 outer, or I had the choice to make some tapereed bushings for the ke20 steering arms, the engineer said tie rods would be the easiest and safest route, at $50 ea lucky I never went through with it or I would of wasted more money. You'll end up with a fair bit of negative camber but bump steer will be an issue. As I'm selling all the performance parts for this car I'm using the original Ke10 equipment and ditching the Ke20 strut idea.
  2. Go the KE70!! Do you know where I could find the upright kit?
  3. Cheers guys, I'm lazy so p/nos will still be handy, my mate can get the bearings in, he just doesnt have a catalogue. S/box, ive made plenty gaskets before, I should still have some oil gasket paper around somewhere, probably will end up doing that, just prefer to spend $5 on a gasket really. Also, has anyone baffled there b/w diff, if so got any pics?
  4. Does anyone have a p/no or does anyone know if it cross references to another vehicle model? Also p/no for axle bearings. Cheers Sean
  5. Am i right in saying you had a uprighted K series in the sprinter? What is the process in getting a car log booked, does it just have to be the shell or do you have to have the cage and other safety aspecs complete? So are you just using this new shell and all the parts from the last Ke20? Goodluck Sean
  6. Just found this; '5k solid lifter part number 13751-61020 for a km36 liteace also cross references to 3f landcruiser engine' I don't know if there are 5k specific rocker assm and push rods.
  7. Cheers Felix, I know that, I'm making up the Tie-Rod itself, not the ends. Ive already got brand new tie-rod ends for the Ke10 (outers will now go to waste), just have to go get some new Ke20 outer tie-rod ends when I have it all fitting up, length of the tie-rod itself is going to be hard to work out. Another issue is getting the lower arm to not hit the crossmember, the cars going to be pretty low, I think getting spacers for under the strut (roll centre adjusters) will fix that problem, but then give me more positive camber.
  8. The p/no for a Landcruiser 3f lifter is the same as a 5k Ke74? solid lifter. Madrolla, the only reason I wouldnt use the alloy rocker gear is the changes in valve lash when the engine gets hot. Thats why toyota changed to steel later on in production.
  9. Hi Cameron, you will have to get a lifter out and have a look. . I read on a NZ forum that 3f landscruiser lifters are a direct swap into a 5k with 3K push rods and 4K (steel) rocker gear. What head does the engine have? I'm doing this swap at the moment with a 3K BP head.
  10. Ive put this into the too hard basket, I'm making up tie rods to go from Ke20 outer rod end to Ke10 inner. Hopefully it will all work out!
  11. One of those engines at lonsdale is a 2004 model if i remember right, those prices are damn sight cheaper than what i was quoted, although I'm talking over a year ago now, suppose they have just sat there since. I was going to get one instead of rebuilding my 5K.
  12. Hey guys, ive been trying to get Ke20 struts into my Ke10, ive tried using Ke20 balljoints in the Ke10 control arm, had all that bolted up no worries. Only problem is getting an outer tie rod to fit the Ke20 steering arm. Ive tried putting the whole Ke20 draglink, idler, pitman and tierods in. The drag link and inner tie rods hit the Ke10 crossmember. Only thing I can think to do is use the Ke20 crossmember but how do I mount the radius rod mounts? Ive seen them welded but I'm reluctant to do so because the thing is overrated and nearly 40yrs old. Any help appreciated! Cheers
  13. I know it sounds an around the block way to do it, but tell them your staying in noarlunga (down south) and get it booked into sturt police shop for number inspection, they don't care, should just check no's and you'll be on your way, but tell them your working till 7'ish so its not too light, that way they'll be hungry and eager to get some food and not look at your car!
  14. Hey Rob, cheers mate! Where abouts are you, we will have to have a look, whats its condition is it defected etc.??? You don't have to be a member i don't think, i reckon you have to sign a disclaimer for injurues etc. and then you get scruitineered, mainly to make sure theres nothin suss etc... and then you go and destroy a car for a day!!!
