  1. just be very careful when your bending it. Make large radius bends to avoid crimping the line. Edit: I can take the center brake line off the KE30 if you need a brake line to bend.
  2. I'd love to see them try and mod their car...theyre down at the local performance center asking for a new "holleykauf" and some "Pedal block intakes" hahaha...still funny
  3. I was going through SNPP.com looking at my favorite simpsons quotes and found this one: Moe: Geez, this hot rod is souped up six ways from Sunday! Never had you figured for a gearhead, Homer. Homer: Oh yeah, I'm a real expert. Moe: What is that, a six barrel holleykauf? Homer: You betcha! Moe: Pedal block intakes? Homer: Nothing but. Moe: Miya half lifters? Homer: Ah yeah. Moe: I made that last one up! Homer: I see. At this point I was rolling on the floor and had to email them my correction.... Moe: "Geez, this hot rod is souped up six ways from Sunday! Never had you figured for a gearhead, Homer." Homer: "Oh yeah, I'm a real expert." Moe: "What is that, a six barrel holley carb?" Homer: "You betcha!" Moe: "edelbrock intakes?" Homer: "Nothing but." Moe: "Miyahoff lifters?" Homer: "Ah yeah." Moe: "I made that last one up!" Homer: "I see."
  4. probably just followed a link to the add reply page... thats all it does is clicks all the links and caches them...basically
  5. Has anyone tried cressida arms?? Drill the KE20 steering arms out to 14mm? moving this to general mechanical
  6. ok gonna close this now..don't think this can go anywhere more constructively objections to the close PM me...
  7. This is f@$king ridiculous. Just because I'm young doesnt mean I havent experienced things. Leaf springs suck? so what I should upgrade to 4 links now? not gonna happen. Sure its a bandaid whats your point? If I wanna do it then what does it hurt you? Just because I didnt take your advice your gonna get cut up about it? I also very confused. You say air shocks suck...but so do hard springs? so what the hell am i supposed to do? Go through a set of tyres every month because the side wall scrubs away?? I don't wanna roll the guards because it will look like crap unless I'm taking your rolling method the wrong way...then you could simpily correct my misunderstanding. I deleted this thread...the undeleted it and I probably should lock and delete it or some shit but then youd have a bitch about me abusing my moderator rights or some crap.
  8. Deal fell through so don't need to do this anymore
  9. Never said i know best I think you need to assess the situation a little better. My car is not a race car. Ive only ever raced it once. I drive on the road and you wont find me trying to take 60kmph posted corners at 100kmph+. Perhaps you should do a little bit of research before going "nah theyre shit". Ive experienced airshocks before. They work quite well. If you read this page http://www.kanter.com/p52-shox.html#air you will find: Corrects riding height, compensates for sagging rear springs or heavy loads sounds somewhat like my situation?? I appreciate your help where given. I don't appreciate your arrogance
  10. ffs...people how many track days have you seen me at?? I like air shocks...if you think about them its a very very good bandaid. Both air shocks are linked by an air line. when the car rolls it acts like a sway bar. They also act like normal shocks when you drop them down to about 20psi. When you wind them up (up to 120psi) its drifto time . My old shocks are shit...theyre original items..... Id rather not roll my guards. Ive lipped the inside. I you have a look at the picture ^^ up there. You'll notice the guards have a little line around the top. If you roll them it will look pretty f@$ked up
  11. Well with the alloys on I can't have anyone in the back...constant scrubbing, which is why the steelies are back on. I'm thinking of getting air shocks to stiffen up the rear and compensate for shitty springs.
  12. Rear Wheels: I sent my rear two Enkie 15x7" wheels to Eric Vaughn Machine which specializes in widening alloy wheels. They basically cut off the inside rim and welded on a section of a wider rim, keeping the same outside wheel and center design. I had these widened to 9". It cost $165 each to widen the wheels. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new set of 16 or 17" wheels, plus I wanted some wheels that are unique that not many people have. I then mounted a pair of Yokohama AVS Intermediate 255/45-15 tires. These fit perfectly inside the fenders and have about half inch clearance to the leaf springs. Click here for photo. From Tom Carters page http://www.netwiz.net/%7Etcar/c74sr5.html
  13. my other option is to strech 165s over the rims. Give me that leet drifto look
  14. sounds like a pretty shitty motor
  15. interesting...might go and measure them in a minute
  16. they went a looonng time ago no way in hell id bother widening them now looks like so yea theyre the ones I wanna get widened...hrmm dunno...theyre already 5.5" wide...going half an inch more doesnt seem worth it.... more outward offset is my problem too. Remember I'm running a KE30 U series diff thats wider  so my rims scrub on the guards quite badly :S
  17. hahaha owned by the redwarf!
  18. In no real order...Just putting them up as I find them Looking down on Queenstown from the deer park Toboggan in the hills of Queenstown. This thing was insane!!! Clock in the old university in Christchurch. Looks very London like! w00t. Me and dad finished 1.125L of rum in 9 days! Turbo on the campervan :P Engine shot. This thing made some crazy power. 5cyl turbo intercooled diesel Bonnie Blue...the 737-800. Worked on her Rob? shes a finnnee craft mmm...winglets are cool. Got HEAPS of shots of clouds mid-flight Final approach into Brisbane Just a comment on Pacific Blue. Great airline...GOD DAMN HOT AIR HOSTESS' I may have a piccy somewhere :P 12 valve starlet?? WTF? Thats all for now. More later
  19. A80 only takes AAs... We use Energiser NiMH. They last a good amount if time with lots of LCD usage. We went through about 2-3 sets in NZ (10 days over 1000 photos). Some examples: http://www.improperorder.com/gallery/bens%...os/IMG_0525.JPG http://www.improperorder.com/gallery/bens%...arch-2004/3.jpg (not fullsize) http://www.improperorder.com/gallery/bens%...cs/IMG_0408.JPG http://www.improperorder.com/gallery/bens%...cs/IMG_3617.JPG http://www.improperorder.com/gallery/bens%...cs/IMG_0198.JPG (Full zoom at about 100m no tripod) Cost is around $600
  20. Sometimes with the battery packs you can get cartridges that take normal AA batteries...but not all of them. RE not working well at night. With the Canon A80 we have we just take a tripod and up the exposure time.
  21. Anyone know any places that will do it for me?? and maybe roughly how much it will cost? I really only want another inch tops... Yes it is legal to widen rims. Its illegal to weld the spokes of the rim.
  22. Id be more inclined to get AA batteries. That way if your rechargables go flat while you away from your charger you can just duck into any servo and pickup some batteries.

  25. Do your research. don't rush out and buy the first one you like. Have a look at the Canon Powershot A80. Thats what my mum bought after a very lengthy research period. An easy to use but full featured camera. Another thing to watch is prices. They're different everywhere. Hunt around you WILL find them cheaper!
