Front Suspension Setup
Just out under the cars again KE20 330mm KE30 310mm :P Time to do some calculations to figure out camber change
-
Front Suspension Setup
KE30 but theres not much in it...10mm maybe..tops

Front Suspension Setup
Also figured out a way to fix the steering arm length thing. You leave them at whatever length arm you end up with. Then find idler arms that are longer....problem solved...

Front Suspension Setup
They...control arms Out of curiosity I just went to remeasure them with a tape measure (first time was with a ruler) Turns out my Jap KE30 control arms are accually quite close to the KE20 arms....VERRYYYY INTERSTING!. Steering arms would have to be changed still. I'm willing to give it a try. If it gives me positive camber all is not lost...there are ways to fix that....

Front Suspension Setup
Measured them before..theyre signifigantly shorter

I Know Its A Long Shot But....
Just for reference http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/25_482.html It may be useful when your selecting parts etc The US military (don't remember which depatment) released a study on Metal corosion in seawater. It has a most extensive list!!

Front Suspension Setup
ack...looks like another bargain scrapped :P where can I get some coil over inserts from?? My springs are getting ridiculously soft so id rather replace them with ajustable coil overs rather than trying to guess the spring height i need. edit: oh and approx price
-
Front Suspension Setup
Height ajustable. They have ebach 300lb springs on them but I told him to take them out of the deal. Id rather get springs that are the right size for my car. my other option is rt132 corona steering arms. They put the strut in a more negative camber position. But the steering arm is even longer at 140mm :P

Engine Conversion
and then you might as well put the money to good use and drop a different engine in.

depends on what kind of metal it is. If you bolt chunks of manesium to your car they will corrode before your car will. Its all to do with the Electrochemical Series. Metals higher in the order will corrode before metals lower in the order. So your right in one sense but it will hasten the corrosion of the metal that is higher in the Electrochemical Series, be it your car or the bolt.

Front Suspension Setup
KE20 arms are 108...and its ridiculously light. I'm thinking about maybe getting the AE86 ones (or something else) shortened to 108 or maybe shorter. I think theyve gotta go to the engineering workshop to redrill the holes anyway... this is all providing my TA22 coil over inserts don't fit my KE20 struts
-
Engine Conversion
I don't recon It will cost you 20,000 let alone 10,000 let alone $2,000 Lets keep it on topic If thats the conversion you want to do...Go for it. Do your research. Attack everything with a tape measure, figure out what you need to do and PLAN it. don't start immediatly, think things over, figure out what might not work or what isnt ideal. Then you can start to attack the engine bay with an angle grinder and welder

Ive been told theyre no good in FWD configuration...I'm sceptical however! Ive seen a FWD Mazda 323 rotary...it absolutly flew!!
