Well its been a long long time since i have added to this thread. The rolla is still kicking and now has new personalised plates 57RMY as all the good ones relating to storm were taken unless i wanted to pay big bucks for the actual word. (which wasnt taken at the time of my choosing) Ironically the day i put the plates on was the first day we copped huge weather here in the bay lol. Overall she's still running well though ive had to replace a battery :P (it decided to die on me in the middle of a work week) and am getting new wrack end boots soon as the originals are finally worn out. Next up I'm replacing the struts - got a really good price on some decent heavy duty ones thanks to AE90 and as soon as that is done we are going for a trip to the audio doctor and getting the long awaited custom install... including led lights and both subs and new speakers in the rear. This is all happening in the next few weeks. Then in a month is the body work - rolled and pumped guards, and the usual surface rust cleaning up etc. Ive also sourced a 4age and a 4agze for really good prices. Hmmm... aside from that and the inclusion of piccys when all is done - well thats all i have to add here.

What have you actually tried? I'd try a dishwashing detergent because it could be a mixture of dirt and grease and that is why it isnt coming clean or even engine degreaser (diluted) on a rag. It could also be that over time the sticker has moved so its actually the glue from the sticker that is making the untidy ring around it. :P

Hey there Harls, On a Friday/Saturday night you will usually find myself and an ex-rolla driver cruising round in his Honda Prelude. However there are a few of us who don't come out anymore due to other commitments etc. Be on the lookout for a dumped AE90 (white) the guy who owns it is called James and he's pretty good to chat to and is often out on those nights. I have the grey AE92 and i don't drive it much atm - ive had a few problems but i may be getting back out on the scene soon - we really need to recruit some more members to the HB Clan and there are what seems to be quite a few rollas getting round here now that are just begging for a rollaclub sticker...lol Chill Rolln16

Uh hi i havent been around here in ages and i saw this and thought that i might offer a girls opinion - in the hope that I'm not going to be killed for it. Basically - check for the type of girl you are actually aiming for - I'm not saying your setting your sights too high or anything - but if you want a nice girl who wants to settle then don't go looking in the wrong places i.e career oriented women and girls who are too good to be true - because thats what they usually are. I should know. And secondly give yourself a breather. don't keep making things happen - just sit back and enjoy the ride - the one youre looking for might not be as far away as you think. I wont lie every girl looks for the high achiever to be their partner - i guess its a lot to do with society these days. But perhaps for once don't let on that thats what you are - because some girls can actually be intimidated by it. While others will take the extreme option and think that since they got as good as you they might as well try for one better. I don't know exactly how youve been treated and thats your business as far as I'm concerned. But there are girls out there who are looking for a guy like you. Best advice - like ive already said - take a breather and let someone come to you. It may not be in a week or a month but it will happen. And you will always have friends here on rollaclub to vent to and to support you. If you ever need a friend, then don't be afraid to pm me. Not all of us bite....very hard anyway. take care. Rolln16

Hi there, WELCOME!!! I'm in Hervery Bay and so is Rolln'03. You may have seen us around - the red ae86 with the white front bar and the dark grey ae92 with the big mags??? You're welcome to send either of us a PM. Biggo - I think you will find that your postwhoring is not really appropriate for the Hervey Bay thread so please refrain from it. I have already had it cleaned up once. Keep Rolln....

Okay well I'm going to be bad and go a bit rat style and add white into the equation – it will make the car feel cooler if you have some white, because red and black are very, very warm colours. Alright let me think. To keep it simple I am thinking black for all of your vinyl/plastic bits and pieces in the car. Then for the door trims in the front I'm going to say red, with a delicate spider either in a darker red as a line drawing, or in white with a dark outline embossed onto the fabric. The best way to describe it would be like the old school pin-striping that they did with all the fancy bits. Actually scrap that. We are going to have a leather patch in black like you would put in a pair of pants and we are going to patch this to the red door trim with big white cartoon style stiches. Then in the middle of this patch is going to be a pin – striped spider done in bright racy red and reoutlined in a dark crimson red. This will also have a metallic white thread of web coming from the spiders abdomen and jig-jagged onto the trim. The back door trims are going to be the same as the front (red with black arm rest etc) only instead of having a patch with a spider in it we are going to use a metallic white thread and stitch random cobwebs onto the fabric… the spider has been and gone… The floor of the car – carpeting etc will be in that two tone kinda grandma spec carpet and will be black and red. There will be black floor mats and on the mats there will be a white redback spider in the upper right hand side for the passenger and the bottom right hand side for the driver. Just a small simple one with no features just like a shadow... The seats – okay I would have these done plain and simple in a black vinyl perhaps with a white pin stripe like you get on a seam say on board shorts for want of a better description. Then we will make seat covers for them. The covers will also be black but will have a double pinstripe in red and white and a spider shadow in dark charcoal grey with black metallic thread stitched onto it to make it look hairy and scary. The roof lining – so many people go and do these fancy swanky hood linings and for what reason??? Its not like you're going to look at it all that often. So we are going to have a plain white lining with a black and red spider web scrawled graffiti style in one corner using the shadow look. It wont bu using thick lines its all about thin straight lines and clean points. Whaddaya think? :)

Oh Dear... :P Firstly, give me the colour you want.... exactly... Please... and decide on a theme. If you don't have one don't worry but if you do then spill... even if its caterpillars - it will give me something to work with. And are you looking for lots of colour or a more timid interior so that it doesnt draw from the exterior? Secondly - as Teddy said, Guys think outside the square don't just stick with your safe colours i.e. white, black, chrome or match colours i.e pink and purple . If you can't match something with another colour then don't - go in the complete opposite direction but in this case keep it simple. When you decide to use two completely different colours you CAN NOT overdo it... believe me you will end up with an eyesore rather than an eyecatcher. Designs will follow once this post it replied to... ;)

Otaay... well i have found a computer that will let me "add reply" so i may post piccys.... now please please please forgive me for the extremely dodgy paint job that is to follow as i have very limited programs here at work to use. :P

Okay I'm thinking a three tone look...to get away from the two colours. The colours would be Royal Purple, Sunset Orange and Canary Yellow... so you can stand out of course!!! Same style as the first car in your pictures - except increase the angle so its steeper... i think thats right... then add a wide strip of the previous colour at the end of each colours section. I.e. Purple front end up to the mirrors, then a bright yellow stripe then Orange up to the rear windows back corner followed by a purple stripe and then a yellow rear. Then at the front of the car you could do a triangle on the bonnet like in Ruts's idea but have that yellow... Sorry i can't load piccys... :P(

Tiger I'm never going to learn... lol and i was actually re-considering the 6x9s... but i might just leave them to annoy you a lil longer...hehehe As for the rims they are polished black with a polished face. just like you'd get if you had a polished lip on a dark coloured rim. I'll try and find a better picture.
-
Okay now tell me colours... is the red the team colour or can we ditch that? ...I'm getting some ideas...
-
Themes??? or straight paint? you gotta give me something to work with...
-
What sort of paint job are you after exactly?
-
lol....the last piccy was taken Monday when i got the rims...since then the springs have settled a bit more and the front has lowered another inch or two so its level all round. The lowest part of the car (the front mud guards) are about 80mm from the ground now. The most people i can get in the car is three - then we are tucking tyre majorly in the rear and getting close to tucking a fair bit in the front. Next project - Interior and a custom install for the stereo system....which will be interesting... hmmmm if anyone can tell me how to successfully fit 2 x 15" subwoofers, 6x9"s and an amp in the boot please let me know.... rough scribbles are quite welcome. :) Thanks for the comments guys... :lmao:

My bet is that because its a graveyard there are always new graves being dug and when this is done the air is filled with rubbish and dust... just like if you sit in a still room and look into a bright corner you will see dust floating in the air because it reflects the sunlight. Now it was night time so the flash of the camera played the part of the sun therefore illumintating the dust and rubbish and then capturing its reflection the closure the dust to the lens the bigger and blurrier the shape because it is moving afterall. At night time you would not see the dust and if there was no breeze it would definitely be floating in the air. I don't not believe in the paranormal but for something like this i think my above statement explains it. Try it the next time you go out at night and take a strong torch and look through the beam - the dust will be there... You wont see it if there is light around because it wont reflect the light that is coming soley from your torch. Sorry to spoil the fun if i have... :)

I don't think that it neccessarily means that the company is trying to rip you off or that people are evil...remember they have to make money out of the transaction too.... however i think that the price for the manual is rather extreme if not ridiculous...are you sure you got that right???
