nope, but i did offer and the seller did accept. so it was practically sold. but technically, which is why i could tell my parents "i really wanna buy it", i havnt bought it so i can tell them that without lying and being a bad person. but when he accepted the offer thats the same as buying the car and the cash changing hands in my opinion. :blush: its bed time, work in the morning :)

umm i duno, dad didnt have alot of issues really havnt spoken to mum yet she went to bed without talkin to me lol i think it will be a combination of those 2 plus me driving a fast car. but dads startin to say wheres he located and stuff so he wants to go and check it out, all going better than expected :)

well i told dad on the way to a party tonight and to my horror he took it without an issue. said ok sounds good (more or less) and didnt go off his na-na at all (although i did say "i really wanna buy" not i have bought it" and then i told him i have told the guy I'm ready to pay just gotta talk to the parents and he was mmhmm, little white lies about my process seemed to pay off quite well :) if all goes well i should have my 3rd ke70 sittin down the back yard very shortly :blush: havnt spoken to mum yet, but dad spoke to her and said she just looked at him and went in the shower (end of a long day on late shift in hospital so its understandable) ill let u know how she reacts but so far all is well :o

i think it looks alright at first glance but gets tiring on the eye. just my opinion tho :blush:

yeah thats what I'm thinking. ive seen and heard of his bodgy selling and buying techniques so I'm goin and inspectin and hope i spot another thats not right. i hope he hasnt done anythin dodgy, i doubt he would as he seems a lazy bastard. but anyways, i wont defame him any further as he has so far been a good (and very patient) seller with me. have to see what i think after seeing the car and gettin it home. if i grow the balls to tell dad this arvo i will let you guys know how it goes, i think/hope it wont be as bad as I'm expecting :)

lol i like the pregnancy story, but i think that will play out worse for me in long run, as my parents like to pile shit onto me at anychance they have, me pretending to get a girl pregnant will just lead to torment every time I'm goin out somewhere lol I'm not leavin the car at the sellers (1ggte ke70 aka gaijun doru) he seems a bit shifty to me i think he would part it out, hes 'desperate' for cash he's tellin me. told me that when i offered 1500 hundred that less than 2000 would be stupid, now he dropped to 1500 so i offered him 1300 and he excepted....go figure that one. I'm just hopin he hasnt already stripped it and replaced things with stock components. hmmm meh the parents are still worryin me more, i think it will go alright thi i can try anyway, can't hide from them forever

lol i might prefer that, i am planning on doing a defensive driving course, and the car all this is in, will not be run straight away, i will look to swap over suspension brakes and wheels to my current car and get some driving under my belt and decide which car i want to continue the 1g project with, and then build that up, likely staying n/a if i can get my hands on a 1gge and stick with this for a couple of years at least and then decide if the t is needed i spose ur right tiger, theyve said they will always love me, so even tho theyll make my life hell it wont be forever. and hey i may be over analysing this, ive never been good with decision making or commitment and this requires both. i need to be pushed by stress. i need to get over my parents being better than me, I'm practically an adult. i think its time they got told, may tell them tomorrow :P or i may keep hiding. we'll have to see why am i scared of my parents? lol

hey guys, I'm up the provierbial creek without a paddle at the moment. ive recently bought my 3rd car (I'm only just 17) and its a ke70 with a 1ggte Gearbox: Alloy supra 5 speed with cast iron sandwich plate (W57) Clutch kit: Toyota clutch plate with RPM pressure plate Front struts and brakes: RA60 Celica modified adjustable coil overs Shocks: front Koni adjustable Tailshaft: modified Corolla with supra front uni and alfa romeo rear uni Diff: Alfa romeo 80's model 104 Berlina LSD 4.3:1 ratio Axles: 27 spline Front seats: Honda Accord late 80's Methanol injection: 50% water + 50% methanol (halfful bottle in boot) battery is also in the boot it's got a 45 litre lpg tank installed with lines and carby (still connected in the engine bay) which passed an lpg cert a few months back and has been untouched. custom wheels with legal tread 225/50R15 Falken Ziex on the 15x8 rears and excellent tread (driven no for 3 months) 205/50R15 Toyo T1R's on the 15x7 fronts. but yeah the diff is really tight and never kicked one wheel with my engine. those are the specs, now i want to eventually swap a 1g of some sorts into my car, and i also want this car for the wheels, brakes and front suspension. any suggestions on what to say to them? as ive got no idea, and fear they will reduce me to tears and beat me with a stick :)

he's only now gettin his p's all he wants is traffic light cred. :P by this reckoning you should also be able to pick up a w50 for not too much then aswell?, but the newer w boxes are alot stronger than these, but these boxes definitely sound good enough for most of us :)

so does that mean its an easy source for a s-w bellhousing? or even an already rwd 3s, not that most people would poke a xxfe engine with a stick when theyre doing a conversion, but still its an interesting thought

awesome, good to hear ur not a ricer, the advice ive been given and i think its pretty good would be to just tidy the car up make sure everythin works, its all clean, and just get all the mechanicals and suspension sorted, just bring the car back to stock, have a reliable car for a while, build up some money and build up parts and do a conversion if you do want more power. but for now, keep it stock, but tidy it up and undo the years of neglect that cars like these suffer from :)

hmm i think i need some more experience b4 i take on a 3sg -->rwd project. :) do they have a long stroke giving them the 2ltr capacity and height? or is it completely unrelated?

hey nick does the 3s slant the same way as the k motor? like top towards passenger side, or they tilt the other way?

just drop in a 3s? isnt there alot(!) of work involved to turn a 3s to rwd? just lettin the noob know its not as simple as pull it out and in she goes, lots of work. 1g or 1j would be awesome tho and less work cheese hole what sort of moding are we talking here? do you want a rice mobile that looks like shit (phobia) or do you want a clean car that goes well? plus the fact you havnt got your p's yet don't you think you should be waiting at least a few months before you start talking extra power/forced induction?

oh ok, good to hear :D is this only when they are left on the car? coz my wreckers have them on big shelves so would this still be an issue? i actually have tyres out of round on the car at the moment, but they were the ones that the car came with, i think it may have been sitting a while so it mite explain it, theyre now on the rear and the shudder isnt noticed. thanks for the info tho :(

mmm metho and orange juice. like to see you finding something cheaper :( has anybody noticed that VB used to be consumed coz it was as cheap as horse piss (coz it is) and as more and more people drank its got more expensive and is now the same price as other beers like xxxx and all that other crap that arnt quite as bad but people still drink VB coz theyre used to it now. good tactic by the makers i say :D
