  4. just a thought...try the wreckers for the headlight, i know pacific highway wreckers (PHW) have an ae71, same headlights right? and i think theymight also have a late model ke70, call them, theyre great people
  5. i got 2 bonnets, 2 l/h front quarters and 1 late model headlight i don't wanna sell the ones of my newest car which is white with blue pearl but the other ones are pretty good, only a tiny bit of surface rust in the bonnet, right on the front edge, will sand off and fill with spray putty me thinks, ill have to check the quarter panel out for u, but I'm pretty sure its straight. in white don't know what they are worth, what are they worth to you? with the headlight, its good from what i remember, not sure if i wanna sell it tho, was thinking bout putting it into my early model.... cheers
  6. yes i am very lucky, however its still not easy because A. i know sod all about forced induction and B. i know even less about lpg and methanol injection. all the works been done, but i now have to work out all the wiring inside the car that went with the W.I.J (whatever that is, and it must be switched on according to the sticker) and ill have to sort this wiring and transfer it over....working on wiring when the inside of the car is over 50 degrees fun fun :( :) yeah I'm up for givin u a run, your driving skills will probably prove the difference against me but itl be fun, me and biggo are planning the same thing once his 4agze conversion is planned. is that track/drag day still being planned for qld raceway or somewhere, i read about it somewhere on here for like winter sometime???

  11. yeah jamie come on lol, i have given toymods a link to this, they have been more helpful so far lol, just thought id put it on both, plus i hosted the pics on here and just gave toymods the link coz theyre pic hosting limit is tiny....anywho nick: if the oil pump goes into the oil filter, which on the 1g is under the intake, does that mean the oil feed will come off from somewhere around there? and I'm keen to get onto this steep curve :D irokin: I'm sticking with twins as i figure they are more than enough power for a ke70, and saves me money :) i think ur right, by the number of small water pipes around that side they would appear to go to the turbos. i need turbos, then ill be able to work somethin out :( but as it stands i have worked out the first picture the two big ones are oil return to the sump, and the little one behind the oil return on the left is water. and the top one by the oil filler is a pcv thingy, just gotta work out where its meant to go to, was blocked off..... but yeah, anyone know where the oil feed for the turbos is?

  13. this aforementioned oil pump sits in the sump yes? so does that mean that one of the pipes in the pic up there is an feed and one a return? or where would it be?
  14. lol yeah we all know I'm insane ok toymods fellows have told me that "they are for the turbos. The big ones with the flanges are the oil drain to sump, and the smaller ones are water feeds, which are more for when the car is turned off to cool the turbos... I guess they use convection cooling. The oil feeds come off the head. and the last one is PCV, goes to the intake manifold by default" i had a look and can't seem to find where the oil feeds are off the head :) any ideas?
  15. hey guys, bought 1ggte ke70's car, been lookin at it and on the exhaust side is this fellow thats on the exhaust side of a 1ggte what are those two water/oil lines? me thinks they are for the turbo? this correct? and are they oil or water? and how would they connect? I'm guessing it will make more sense once i ahve the turbos? any help is appreciated and next up i have this fellow: inlet side of the oil filler, where would that go to and what does she do? thanks guys, sorry bout the questions, but i havnt got a manual for this engine yet edit: resized pic
  16. sorry my bad but the further back the engine is the further back the centre of gravity is which makes drifting more difficult rite? anywho i think i made my point *shrugs*
  17. holy f@$king shit...your krusty the clown!!! do you really think a 1uz weighs less than a 4k........ a 4k weighs a bit over 100kg, and most guys on here have probably picked one up with a mate or slid one around and would know that really they don't weigh all that much, now visit this site here http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/engineweights.html and one will find that a lexus v8 4.0 l aka a 1uz weighs 470pounds 470*0.454=213kg.....double the weight of a 4k. now then krusty. if we think about drifting, you are trying to break traction on the rear end and make this afore mentioned rear end slide outwards thru a corner. this happens by the rear end pivoting around the engine (basically) and if you shove the engine along way back, this pivot isnt going to happen very well...hence crappy drifting.so you see doing this makes your ke70 good only as a boat anchor, but as i very much love my 3 ke70's i would hate to see one go to the bottom of the ocean, so id be more inclined to say that the car will handle like a boat. and heavier keep a turbo'd engine on boost and you have a better, more responsive torque curve to play with, i mean how hard is it to get a car boosting and keep it there, a well set up car will come on boost by lets say 3500rpm, and stay there to the redline......but remember turbo for speed, supercharger for skids ;) its just like a nice big v8 torque curve, only the car handles nice and tight, and not like a boat (think 4agze or 1ggze) ok if thats what you want to do.....however remeber that you have a "dedicated ke70 drifter" thats set up like a burnout car, and when you try and drift in it you will be awesome at entering a long sweeping corner sideways 50m early and doing a huge powerslide, but as soon as you try and do some skillful, corner to corner drift on a tight track where you need to enter tight, and change direction you will be fuxxored. can you post the full build details and you say you don't want turbo coz of the "sudden exponential increase in torque" yet you say you are thinking of putting twins on after a while :S me thinks this is your plan
  18. my thoughts exactly :S up to 512 or 1024? and how much would you suggest the motherboard can handle before that would need an upgrade? my plan is to transfer everything i want from my c: onto the new e: and intsall office onto it aswell, and take all documents pics etc i wanna keep, then reformat the old 40 gig is this a good plan of attack?
  19. xany's a nerd! hhahahaha jks dude, theyre some nice specs you got their mate. u seem to know what ur doing when it comes to computers so i might through this out there and any help you can give me is appreciated, i have a amd athlon 2400 xp, 256 mg ram and an asus mother board, its over 2 years old and ive just added an 80 gig harddrive as id filled my other one so i now have 120 gb, this thing lags like a bitch when you do something as simple as just opening word, just wondering would i be best off upgrading my ram or my cpu to try and improve this? thanks mate, and btw your computer is a beast :S

  21. 20 bucks says your brakes are binding dodgy mods....ummm.....my rust repair job, not that bad, just shitty welding in plates and a good helping of bog :y: it wasnt a mod, but driving with no windows front or back side to side, no drivers door, no boot lid and no tail lights was a bit dodgy me thinks, or when i drove it for an hour with all the windows up but no boot lid or taillights....smell those exhaust gases hehe but really anything permanent i try not too dodge :hammer:
  22. mine was shit at idle and smoothed out as soon as u brought the revs up. changed the leads and its all better at idle now. its just more obvious at idle coz it all happens so much slower so you notice it more
  23. he said he got new plugs rotor button and dizzy cap are all you have left to get before the problem should be gone. how new are all your new parts? and if the problem doesnt go it may be compression issues
  24. i don't really know the answers to your questions, but when i reset my tappets some fool had them all with smaller gaps than they should be, it gave me performance shittier than a standard 4k and i got about 250 k's to a tank. so theres my 2c, the valves are open longer so you get more fuel in, but it ruins ur economy, and doesnt increase performance...my experience, my opinion, I'm usually wrong but meh, interesting topic :hammer:
  25. it will fly dammit! just leave it at that!!! big plane engine thingys push themselves against the air, air gives resistance, plane moves forward. wheels spin faster than normal, no other effect. my opinion, and i got an OP2 so i must be rite :hammer:
