Anyone Know How I Can Contact Jeremy Martin?
love ke70 replied to love ke70's topic in General Mechanical
yeah i know, but i would appreciate if he could at least inform me of whats going on. its just he's been trying to sell this car for around 2 months now and i have the money ready for him and he does a runner. its just not right, he could at least have the common courtesy to inform me of whats going on. and i feel its rather childish of him to just ignore my calls, rather than answer and tell me what is going on. i just want a way of getting in contact so i can find out what the deal is. -
does anyone actually know how much a sr20det weighs? i can't find it anywhere and i agree with u, a car that handles like a boat is gonna be slower round the track. but I'm just lookin for a street car with good power thats still driveable, so even if its a bit nose heavy it wont be too bad.

thanks i called him and he hung up and his phone is off now don't know if anyone knows his address or home number? -
well the title explains it, I'm tryna track down jeremy aka 1g-gte ke70 or gaijun doru. i was talking to him this morning on msn, trying to get his address so i could go and get his car which I'm buying. and he went silent on me, havnt heard a peep from him in almost 2 hrs on msn and he has changed his status to busy, so i am assuming that for some weird reason he is ignoring me. if anyone knows his phone number please pm it to me as soon as possible thanks guys regards andrew

Why Do Forced Induction Engines Have A Lower Compression Ratio?
love ke70 replied to love ke70's topic in General Mechanical
okies that seems to make sense, so its basically to try and prevent detonation. and if you got a good tune you could up static compression with much the same effect as up-ing boost, only wih stronger off boost performance. thanks for the help. makes a bit more sense now :) -
Why Do Forced Induction Engines Have A Lower Compression Ratio?
love ke70 replied to love ke70's topic in General Mechanical
ok thats more or less what id thought, but maybe theres something just not connecting in my brain. but with jamies example of the engine that blows up with more than 10 units of air...wont it produce the same amount of power whether its being fed .5 bar or 1 bar boost, as long as its compressing 10 units of air. I'm assuming theres something flawed in my thinking... anyone wanna try and drill it through my thick skull? :) sorry guys but this just isnt quite makin sense in my head yet -
dam, wish i was so its no worse than with the original motor? 3k was it? thanks dude, I'm not sure how poor the handling will be in my ke70 with the 1g so thats why I'm so interested :) thanks for ur time
-
oh ok, thats a good idea. will they keep the .net layout? or the .org.au one? i prefer the old one it is a shame theyre sick of helping because they have so much knowledge. its kinda like the 'pro-forumer' forums. they hate newbs with a passion and shoot down alot of questions that on most forums would be dealt with by a roll of the eyes and a simple explanation with a :) but hey if thats how they want to be I'm not gonna harp on about it. theyve helped me b4 and will probably help me out again in the future. when they do help they offer an invaluable service. yay for toymods rollaclubs better tho lol
-
you know what they say about great minds :)
-
maybe ill work my 1g after the conversoin and ill give u a run emp2tg :) u'll win but itll be fun lol just a question for you, whats the handling like in your corolla with the 1g in it?
-
god bless rollaclub emp2tg: how come its going back to the old address? what will happen to all the info thats there at the moment?

Why Do Forced Induction Engines Have A Lower Compression Ratio?

i may be very dum but i don't understand what the point is that you are making? -
yes, yes they are but we needs nerds in our lives sometimes so i accept that they come on to toymods to put their keyboard warrior masks on and make themselves feel better about their insignifigant and gadget filled lives :)

was reading the december2005/january2006 "road ahead" today, article "biofuels boosted" few interesting things to take note of so to me this means with this new fuel you pay more for the octane rating, and you can increase compression or advance your timing but this is cancelled out by it having a lower energy content. pay more for this new fuel, get less k's hmmm does this mean that because we are using more of this E10 fuel to travel the same distance the pollution is not reduced as much as we might like to think. just thought it was some food for thought

many of the most prominent people on toymods are assholes. they have alot of knowledge but they treat everyone as below them. their knowledge is very useful when they do help you out, but for most problems or questions i find rollaclub a much better environment. but thanks for the info, some people may not have been aware. i don't like theyre new format either. it seems cramped and cluttered and we all know they are gonna be super nazi about anyone showing any sort of personality on the forums, its clinical. me don't like my 2c :)

Why Do Forced Induction Engines Have A Lower Compression Ratio?
love ke70 replied to love ke70's topic in General Mechanical
would you care to explain that comment ???? -
hey everyone. ive recently been thinking about this, and to me it seems to defeat the purpose. see the way I'm looking at this is if we take a turbo'd engine. with a compression ratio of 8.5 the bottom end is gonna be rather gutless and only be any good once it comes onto boost. now the way i see it the lower compression ratio means slower acceleration until the turbo spools up and a longer time to spool up because the engine isnt pumping as much air and it will also mean that the turbo has to push more air to create the same pressure in the cylinder as it would with a higher comp. engine. so from this thinking to me it seems that to have a decompressed version of n/a engine turbo'd ie. 1gge (9.5:1) vs 1ggte (8.5:1) if the compression ratio had been kept the same greater power would have been delivered with less boost from the turbos. just after some thoughts or an explanation of this. feel free to point out the flaw in my thinking :)

the one advertised on toymods.org.au yeah, as far as I'm concerned its a closed sale as long as I'm satisfied when i inspect it. should be inspecting end of this week, and if me and dad are happy go get a trailer and bring her home, I'm excited :o:D:D if i decide not to use it ill let u know :) but i doubt that

lol what i was sayin is if i use the gotta-chick-pregnant-now-she-has-to-live-with-us story and then go nah all i did is bought a car, then what happens if in a few months it turns out that i gotta-chick-pregnant-now-she-has-to-live-with-us. i mean that would just be messed up, coz theyd think i was lyin again. anywho... mum hasnt mentioned it too me yet, which is interesting. mite bring it up some time soon
