Basicly indoor antenna are absolute shit, and NONE are good for digital tv. They all say they are but of course they will, they want you to buy them. They will only work good if you are in an incredibly good reception area and even then its a maybe. You can splice a length of coaxial cable onto the one already running off your antenna and run it to your room with the appropriate plug Or buy a separate DECENT antenna (about $60 from Bunnings) and run it to your room. Google should supply you with which direction to point the antenna in your part of town. I am in the process of doing the same thing. Or get Austar/Foxtel installed Or like you said, pay someone. But its not really that hard, google around.
