alright, the sender has been been replaced, and all was working well, gauge was working until it hit half a tank, then it dropped out to zero and wouldn't work. it only works when there's more then 1/2 a tank. :blush:

So my best mate just bought himself an ae82, and has realised that the fuel gauge in the dash is intermittent. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. the car hasn't been modified to my knowledge so its the stock 4A. now he's a datsun boy and I'm a rolla boy, so he's asked me to get some help. Any ideas?

really looks like you've got great intent at heart. ta22 always has been my dream car. oh and with the paint, i'd definately go with the top one. simply because it's different. then again, you don't see ta22's around very often these days.
