a mate came over to use a few spanners to do an oil change and used to scissor jacks to lift it, no jack stands even though i have got them out of the shed for him to use, he used a old 20litre oil drum that i had cut in half to catch the oil. he then tried to slide out from under the car by grabbing what ever he could and by doing this he rocked the car which the fell off the jacks and then the metal bucket decided to put a whole in his sump. he jacked it up again. And what a surprise he tells me he doesnt need jack stands because they don't do anything

it will be mostly original, part form the height, so original interior style and body shape, just remove the bull bar and canopy and the rear step. i'm planing a 5'' drop which sounds like a lot but it will really only just put the guards level with the top of the current tyres which are 31'' muddies, then i will be getting some nice wheels and some decent street tyres. no need for muddies if its only 2WD

I'm no longer the owner of a corolla or even a toyota, some you may know that my dad passed away from cancer late June. and ever since i was about 10 years old he promised me that one day we would restore an old car one day and we both always liked the old fords so I picked up this 1974 Ford F100 SWB CUSTOM on saturday. since getting it i have striped the interior ready for sanding and rust repairs which there isnt much to do. this is how she is currently

my first car that was a 1977 Leyland Mini, that the only in perfection was a dent in the front right guard, which the old lady did one week before she traded it in, she owned it new and traded it in I bought it the next day. two months later she was standing near my car in woolies car park waiting for me and she wanted to thank me for giving it a wash and polish and fixing the dent because she could never afford to do it. she thought i also re did the seats but little she know they were just seat covers that were in the original seat pattern -

similar thing with the wife and I, she was getting a little bit of money because she was a stay at home mum, plus the plasma oh i mean baby bonus then when that stopped i started earning over the limit she stopped getting it so then I had to give her money out of my own pocket. so the old way was: I work and pay taxes to the government then government gave her money but now its a case of I work and pay taxes to the government but then have to give money to her. so if it doesnt get given to her then why do i have to continue to pay for people i don't know end rant

WMMH this friday i get to pick up the new stuff for the workshop this includes vehicle scissor (not ideal but still awesome) tyre change machine, wheel balancer, engine analyzer (don't know how to use it),wheel alignment machine (no i wont be doing these), and a 2 tonne tow truck (can't drive it but what the hell) all for a bargain price because the bloke is shutting down and i also sign the lease on a new shed, gotta love living in a town with unused ware houses in every street. so tempting to sell the house buy a caravan and just live at the shed. thank god for mates so now the shed will never be out of use

my thoughts also. most of the threads ive read there are of people critiquing other peoples cars because they are not like their own.

tyres like that are uncommon in bumf*ck idaho (Parkes) unless its a mines truck then you can't get for it. Thanks for the help. I can't see the point on spending $300+ for a tyre on a car that get traded in next month

Iv got a fair bit to claim. 2 dependants and forgot to mention i pay extra tax due to extra icome but was all cash work so didnt declare it.
-
The reason it is more is because of bonuses and added hourly extra that get added up every month then taxed its stupid how they add it up. When say hopefully get that much, is that an educated guess or a wishfull number? Its only my first year on the big wages last i balanced by having 3 month holiday and before that i was under the high wage
-
yes i know i shouldnt bitch about it but it shits me to tears when we have all those boat people coming and having everything handed to them and i have to work to pay for it when i don't even want them here yes i know that sounds racist. its not that i don't like them i understand they are trying to get a better life but its more the government handling of it

ive earned 107,000 but paid 38.000 in tax so shouldnt that be bring me down to the below 75,000 bracket? NO they say I'm in the above 110,000 bracket (2 more pays before end of year) so will total about 40,000 tax and estimated return is about 1,500 to 2,000. I'd like to know where the other 38,000 goes to?
