  1. Gday guys! So I'm in a bit of a pickle at the mo. Took my car for a warrant(new zealand) to get it road worthy. Its failed on blown drivers side shock and cracks in the body/floor above the diff head. To cut a long story short the diff(from previous owners attempts to lower the car) had been slapping against the floor causing it to crack. Its been lowered(flattened leaves i think) and the bump stops above the ubolts have been cut in half! Lol but the stopper above the diff had been left normal height? If i ordered a generic set of lowering blocks would it stiffen up the rear and stop the so called diff slap? I'm guessing its getting the extra travel from the bump stops being modified. Any thought on this would be much appreciated. Need to get the cracks welded up to pass, then she'll be all go! Cheers, jayden.
  2. Hey guys, new to the rolla scene and picked myself up a ke10 YES - I do know this topic has been covered a few times. I just noticed it was a few years ago and wanted to know if there has been any update in tech/R&D that can make lowering a KE10 a lot easier without welding or sourcing parts off a ke20 e.g front strut hats. I am not a fan of cutting springs of any sort FRONT - HSD weld on coilovers or ke20 parts REAR - lowering blocks or reset leaf springs Just wanted to really know if anyone has source a product off the market where it is a straight coil over system Any AUS company that make a Front lip for a ke10 also? Any help would be much appreciated
  3. Hey guys, got myself some 3.5kg 200FL AJPS springs for the rear of my KE70, paired up with KYB short stroke shocks. Now I've read as much as I can and most of what I've read states you need to install an adjustable panhard rod after lowering your ke70. I was curious as to if I just want to drive it around for a few weeks before I buy one from AJPS, would It even drive? Be safe? What happens if I don't run a panhard rod at all? Or can I just use the stock rod for now before I buy it? Still learning guys so go easy! Cheers in advance.
  4. hi guys! first time posting on the site! i need some help, i have just bought my first car, a yellow Ke55 manual and i want it to be sitting just right! i was wondering what the best set up would be for lowering it and how much it could cost me? Please help!! :)
  5. Hey :) in a couple of days I'm going to drive to oslo and pick up my fist corolla ever, I'm been looking of some photos of some other corollas and i have decided what i want to do with it ( erll almost decided) :) its a 1975 KE20 , pissyellow 1,2 ( thinking of putting a 2L 5R in it :) ) (sellers photo) it got some small trubles, but not any big ones :) a bit of rust, a broken front whindsheild and some lights that don't work :) but i think the ke20 is too narrow, so I'm thinking of buying fender flares, wider rims/tires and some spacers to make it look wider, and buy lowering spring in the front ( never worked on a front suspention before , i don't need to modify anything to lower it in the front ? only take off the spring and replace it with an aftermarket? like this one? , i have experience with lowering leaf springs , so that will work out :) then the flares, will those fit? i also need to replace the wheelbarings, are they the same (front- rear? ) , i can only find one type... this one will those fit anywhere at all? :P i also like the look of fender mirrors ( my dad almost killed me when i told him about my plan to mount fender mirrors on it , he does not like them, haha) so i think i will be buying some and fix them to the fenders, is it impossible to find them in chrome? i can only find those here, i like them too tho I'm not shure if Ill make it into a rally lookalike or make it nice and tidy... if so, I'm going for bright orange :D like this or like this (maybe a diffrent paint jub/decals to....) :) and with wider fenders etc.. :)
