Beware Of Shonky Pricks When Drunk

Featured Replies

i was recently at my local having a few beers on a friday evening after a hard weeks work, as i do most fridays....as the night wore on i found myself getting rather drunk, almost pissed you might say...at this moment a guy came up 2 me asked if i wanted a stereo 4 my car, anywayz i saw it it was all new in plastics n seemed like a good deal at 250........the next day when out at JB hi fi buying wiring to hook the damn thing up there it was, my newly purchased deck at a drunken bargain of 250....on sale for 220....as you can probably guess my heart sank an i felt like a tool......whats the moral to my story??? **don't BUY HOT STEREOS, ESPECIALLY WHEN DRUNK** Note** i don't condone the traffickin of stolen goods, unless they r from a major company or corporation, don't break into cars, its such a low thing to do......that is all

easy solution: don't put a stereo in your car just listen you your engine hitting 8000rpm :)

Good ol' sounds setup :)

...Every time i use my car now, it has a new sound effect...

I was approached at BP Yatala buy 2 guys in a white toyota van trying to sell me home entertainment systems... or vcr's or dvd players... or stereos.. . I told them i'm not interested and informed BP staff who tell me they do the rounds around all the servos ... however they always disapear before cops get there.

if anyone can get me a cheap ps2 off the back of a truck i'm all ears (and wallet!

tomsGPturbo: i've had the same fellas jump out of their white van and stop me in the middle of chermside rooftop carpark. they were selling entertainment unit speakers and shit.....i knew then and there that it was a scam of some sort....

yep......exactly the same excuse they used on me...."we've got 14 of these brand new speakers.....but we only have an order for 12....how bout we sell you the other 2 for half price".........hahaha....no thanks....catch ya round

guys, i'm not seeing any phone numbers where i can buy cheap playstation twos... :)

NICE someone taking their stereo OUT to listen to the engine, full props to you son!

I have a removable tape head deck - it cuts in and out, but i can't stand listening to music or talk shows on the radio when i am driving...i concentrate too much on driving and which nob jockey is tail gaiting me...

Besides, there is nothing wrong with the sound of my car... a new noise every day lol

..Thank god i have never been approached by these guys b 4... !
