February 23, 200719 yr comment_165309 After months and months of searching various places for KE10 parts i came up with an original wheel. I think it may be a sprinter or SL or optional sports wheel. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. I think it was a very good find and personally not a bad price. I payed for the item and shipping from japan and it arrived here in under a week. The rim is in perfect condition as is the centre but the spokes need some paint.... Anyway tell me what you think. I know a few people around here expect to pay rock bottom for everything, so considering i think its rare-ish what do you think its worth? Thanks.....matt. February 24, 200719 yr comment_165343 looks great, sporty and retro as well :) and the logo is just beautiful!! nice find man.. Report
February 24, 200719 yr Author comment_165352 Thanks guys. I like the sporty, retro look of the wheel. The rim is a fake woodgrain type look but you have to be pretty close to tell. I did find one here in aus but the guy wouldnt be firm on a price. I think he was asking in the vacinity of 350-400. I figured that was the going price for this type of item here in australia and i beat it well and truly. I'll post up soon what i payed for it. Has anyone seen a wheel like this for sale in australia and what did it go for? Report
February 24, 200719 yr comment_165356 I've got the original KE25 deluxe wheel, but its a little damaged... Report
February 24, 200719 yr comment_165364 Nope. Not that I'm aware of unless its a TE37 or something :) Report
February 24, 200719 yr comment_165379 This steering wheel came standard on the ke15/17 sprinter SL models. Report
February 24, 200719 yr Author comment_165400 Felix, you don't happen to know a guy named andrew who lives at postmans ridge do you? I met him a bit before christmas at a servo in tmba. At the time he was driving his KE11 and i had a bit of a chit chat to him and got his number and said i would check out some parts he had but never did. Turns out he has a KE11, a KE15 and a KE18. February 25, 200719 yr comment_165496 that is a really cool wheel you got there, does it fit a ke30? Report
February 25, 200719 yr comment_165500 mattress, no never met him. Why would you want to put one of these wheels on a later car? If you really want the older style, just go buy yourself an earlier ke1x which has way more class than the later plastic models. :) Otherwise, Nardi have some nice retro styled wheels. Personally I think something a little smaller and thicker rimmed is far more practical and comfortable for a regularly driven car. Report

Personally I think something a little smaller and thicker rimmed is far more practical and comfortable for a regularly driven car. As much as that may be, sadly they made the wheels big so that you could see all the dials. I've just removed my sports wheel and replaced it with the original. I'd stick it on my 30. Thats if i couldn't find any other wheel from my cars era. Would have the TE37 Levin had a better wheel?? Jon. Report
February 25, 200719 yr comment_165517 So how much did you pay for it? You've got me intrigued. Report
February 25, 200719 yr Author comment_165529 Haha, well i halved the what the guy in australia wanted for his. I payed $210 all up to my door. Some may say thats really expensive. I on the other hand think it was fairly reasonable. The wheel its self was $100 and $110 postage.... Report
February 25, 200719 yr comment_165534 yeah thats not too bad. You'd be up for around that for a half decent aftermarket one. Report
