April 2, 200719 yr comment_171007 I'd be grateful if a few opinions could be made here, on how much power gain you might expect by fitting a Nikki off a Gemini to a KE55 Thanks, Pete Report
April 2, 200719 yr comment_171015 I've "heard" it allows the motor to rev out a lot more. Thats all the info I can give you at this point in time until I fit one of these to my KE36 in the next few months. Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171030 How hard is it to fit one to a 55? as in what will i need to change it all over? If there is a thread on fitting one of these feel free to yell at me :D Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171033 unbolt stock carb.......bolt on new one. Bout that simple. Hardest part would be running a positive on power wire to the fuel solenoid if it has one. Are you talking about the one Ollae82 has for sale, cause that used to be mine?? Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171041 Cheers taz_rx. just wanted to know how hard it was to hook up before i went and got one. Cheers Jae Sorry Emu for hijaking your thread Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171042 There is a thread with exactly what you are after in the FAQ section... Here's the link: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...ki_Carb_On_A_4K Let us know how you go. I have been thinking about doing this as well, but think I will just end up chucking my twin SU's back on.. Davros Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171056 have you looked into any other carb options? whats your budget Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171060 Its not really worth upgrading the carb unless you have an upgraded exhaust and cam first. A bigger carb will make your motor lose torque in the lower rev range. Useful gains can be had by experimenting with jetting in the stock carb and fitting a freeer flowing filter setup, or cutting down the original filter housing. The gemini nikkis have vacuum secondaries. They can be modded to make them mechanical. Edited April 3, 200719 yr by Felix Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171097 I believe it comes down to your carb really, If it was shit like mine was the gemini carb was a good upgrade. Unlike the other KE70 I have here which the carb still goes great. I felt the gemini carb was better matched to a stock 4K than a weber is, Fond memories of kicking nicks old KE70 off the line because the weber would bog down.. Report
April 3, 200719 yr comment_171154 hey man don't waste ur time with a nikki carbie, i ran twin SU's a large race cam and extractors on the 4k in a ke70, it went quite well all along the rev range. this entire set up cost me under $500.00 ull b amazed an old junk 4k can sound so good! Report
April 4, 200719 yr comment_171182 Paulie, have you stopped to think that maybe he doesnt want to spend $500 and only $100 or so to get his car going a little better? Report
