Any feedback and ideas would be of great intrest!

Might also put a sub and amp in with leds behind the heater vents that shine with the bass.

Also looking for some sort of message to put on the windows in white writing.

Thanks

Hey man. Welcome to the forum. Perhaps you could give us a little more in depth info on you plans rather than just a drawing and some loose ideas.

Firstly, DO NOT CUT THE SPRINGS. If you want to get defected go ahead, otherwise lower it properly with shorter shocks and springs. Cut springs = deathtrap.

Secondly, T20 is dark enough. I had T20 on my old car and you couldnt see a thing inside it. Besides, I reckon two different darknesses of tint would look a little funny. (on anything else other than say a Ford Courier...)

Thirdly. Sony Xplode should be avoided like the plauge. Save your money and get a decent brand. The extra time you may have to wait to save up will be well worth the extra quality of sound and longevity of your speakers.

Fourthly. Try and get the rear speakers closer to where people are sitting. Most times in a wagon, when people put the speakers too far back it ends up sounding a little funny, and you will generally ruin the speakers quicker because you have to turn them up louder to hear them.

Fithly. Get some rimzzzz... Wheels make the car and provided you pick some nice ones, (not the Bob Jane $900 specials) you will have a nice indiviual look to your car that you can always claim as your own, rather than something you saw in hot-fulli-sic-fours magazines.

Cheers. And good luck with the car.

The headunits are ok I guess, as long as your buying in the higher end of the range. I'd still put my money somewhere else. The speakers are absolute tripe. Unresponsive, underpowered and over rated excuses for a speaker. They DO NOT handle anywhere near the power they claim, nor do the headunits put out 52 watts a channel nor do their amps put out anywhere near the claimed RMS power. Heres and experiment for you. Go into any specialist audio dealer and ask to see any brand of 4x50 watt RMS amplifier and then ask yourself, "Can I fit it into the chassis of a headunit as well as a CD drive and all the other bits and pieces?" Your lucky to get 14 watts per channel out of any headunit. I used to sell car audio for a living and have seen every single owner of a VL Commodore in morayfield come in and spend $1900 on a full sony setup and wonder why my old $1200 JBL/Kicker system sounds 10 times better and runs 10 times louder. (and if some f*ckers haddnt stollen it, would still be working...)

Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback

The system in the picture is all reasonably low end pioneer, if I should be worried about the back speakers crapping out because theyre up too loud where else should I put them?

I don't think 20% tints are legal here so I might have to go up to 35%, which I recon is too light.

I want the car to have an understated, easy on the budget, more for fun and more practical look, with plenty of mystery and creativity. Hence the dark tints, cheap mods, economical motor and it being a wagon.

I'm thinking about putting "What is it you are trying to achieve? What do you really want?" on the sides.

"With practicality comes beauty" or something like that.

What do you recon?

yeah t35 is the legal limit in autralia. doesnt mean you can't have t20 though... :jamie:

I'm keen to do all T20 tints, do they fail a wof if you do that? Will you get pulled up more? how do you get away with it?

Any other thoughts? Other recomended cars?

My XF wagon had 5% all round!! Apparently, the original owners were bible-bashers, and one of there number was allergic to sunlight... so they tinted it real dark!! Don't expect to be able to see out at night!! Bloody good for privacy tho.

Youll cop grief from the cops tho...

I drive a Ford errortory quite often with 20% all round. Its fine during the day but can't see a damn thing at night... reversing with mirrors is impossible, and for that hour just just before dusk when the sun is down but not everyone has their lights on, its downright dangerous.

I dunno what the laws are in other states and unzud, but up here you can go down to 20% VLT (or 80% relectivity) on all the windows except the front two. They have to be 35% VLT.. not sure about reflectivity but its something like 30%
