  1. You saw it at a Rollaclub meet at the Railyards about 2 and a half years ago. It had the number plates from my BMW on it, and Driftalicious camber!! It also had 4 big driving lights across the front. The 1/4 panel damage was not my fault, and at least the rails are still straight!!
  2. Just as she would have wanted!! They were off a sheet of stickers I had for my old Rallycar. I got bored oneday... :( "Turn" on the handbrake is all honest truth!!
  3. 2 men came and took my baby away yesterday.... She is gone!! I'll be taking a bit of a step back from Corolla land for a few years, but will continue to lurk, so I can see what the boys have instore for "project 36" I really want to thank everyone who helped with advice, parts, and general bullshit... Couldn't have been any easier without all your help!! ciao for now, and keep on rollaring!!
  4. My poor little KE36 is gone!!! :) :D :P :argh: :argh:
  5. RA60 diff the same sort of width as a Corona RT or XT??
  6. Thats me not reading the posts, and only looking at the pretty pictures!! :P I spotted my KE36 getting hit in the drivers rear 1/4 (right near the fuel filler) by an out-of-control Mini near Kingston on Thursday!! I did a super job to dodge him, and only got a bit of a dent!! Didn't hit the tail light, bumper or rear wheel!! Marvellous!! I spoke to the guy in the Mini, told him how step-off oversteer work in FWD cars, told him he should learn to drive, or slow down... Had a laugh and went our separate ways. Pointless getting any money off him. f@$king lucky escape tho...
  7. Thermo fan... f@$k all the thermoswitches and stuff, just wire it to your ignition. I had mine wired into my ignition, so it was on whenever the car was on!! I too the front fan off my engine, and only ran with the thermo fan. No problems, easy, and no forgetting to switch it on or off!! My Corolla just had a 32/36 bolted on, and so far, so good!! Not sure on what jets, not sure on fuel economy... but it is a little bit faster than it was, and hangs the arse out better!! :P
  8. New drug?? OLD Drug... Like LSD.. 70s style, man!! :P
  9. What about a RT or XT Corona diff?? I imagine they'd be wider, but by how much?? I'm looking at running Flares on my KE36, so extra width would be a good thing (plus its got Sigma front arms, so its already heaps wider at the front) Were they leaf spring??
  10. That Toymods XT130+MX62+RA60 upgrade sounds the Business!! Why do we cut the spring perches off the strut, and weld on KE ones?? Can I run Corona springs (I'm happy to have a stiff front end)??
  11. Pointless, pointless, pointless!! Can you imagine HOW you'd even begin to align all the water-jackets?? Not to mention all the issues with the cylinderhead aligning with the 4k cylinders. And how much would it cost?? $10k?? $20k??? f@$k that!! Build a super tough 4k!! Won't need a mod plate, won't have teething problems surrounding a stupid hand-built hybrid, and it'll f@$king fly!! Thats where my money would be... Screw the twin-cam 4k pipedream!!
  12. Ok, So what model Corona is the twin-round-headlight model?? Its a 1976?? And more importantly, will the front struts fit for the "front strut upgrade". Are they the same as an XT130?? If so, will the struts fit the bottom knuckles (ie the bits that have 2 bolts in them, that connect the ball joint to the bottom of the strut) on the Corolla. I have fitted GE Sigma LCAs to my Corolla, which give excellent negative camber.
  13. ^^ Huh?? Isn't that red now??
  14. Oops... f@$k I'm useless!! Will a KE55 5sp housing fit a ke70 gearbox?? Will a KE55 housing mean I don't have to cut n shut the shifter hole in the floor?? I basically have the engine, gearbox, driveshaft and diff out of another car, which I am gonna swap over. And another thing... RT Corona and XT struts the same thing??
  15. ke30nuts... 5sp??? Still chasing that gearbox mount!!! How'd you so Taz Rx??
  16. Awesome.. keep me posted!!
  17. Hey guys... I'm chasing a gearbox mount for a KE70 (I think) 5sp gearbox. Its the gearbox with the longer housing... So I imagine its a KE70 box. Anyone got one laying about, or know part numbers etc, or where I could get one??
  18. I NEEED one of the "nuts on a triangular bracket" to secure the bolt that hold one of my Lower Control arms in!! The bolt is hanging out, and the LCA is gonna fall out!! To make matters WORSE, I need to move house on the 1st of March... and need to use the Rolla!! HELP!!! Has someone got one on a project/non-moving car they can 'lend' me... Just long enough to move my car!!
  19. You'll probably find that using a 35 coupe for Targa, you'll have to fit all the Levin bits to make it as close to a 'genuine' TE37 Levin as possible. That means, badges, tail lights, flares, fender mirrors and that sexy grill and bonnet!! It'd have to look just like a real Levin, and run the equivalent engine... a 2T-g. Ideally, you'd be better off to go for a KE15, or a TE27, as they had more racing pedigree and history than the 3x models. As was mentioned before, it'll cost you at least 15-20k. And if you really want to make a decent, competitive car, you'll need to spend that 15-20k just on the car alone!!
  20. Geez... I wonder who that is!!
  21. What an amazing collection!! Surprised to see such a collection of rallycars, and so pleased to see that they are still in 'dents and all' condition!! The museum is definitely a testament to Nissan's love for its history!!
  22. 70%... meh Would have expected better.
  23. Anyone wrecking a TA22?? My upholsterer is building a rather nice looking TA, but needs a few tidy bits to finish it. Namely the front bumper garnish, plus a few other bits. His name is Nick., and he works at Supertrim, in Springfield ave, Moonah. Easy way to make some additional NYE cash!!
  24. What happens to a fox when it tackles a BMW at 140mph!! Detailers/Mechanics nightmare!!
