  1. My KE36 with a "slightly" worked 3Tc wasn't even mod-plated!! :kiwi: Never got caught tho!! My current KE36 has a 4k, and it was installed before the car was passed for rego inspection. it passed fine, and just has the 4k engine number on the papers..easy peasy
  2. To all the above rock pigs... all I can say is: (LOL- Rock) As for me: Sy & Unknown- Rock it like this. General Midi- We Control Aquasky & Crash Berlin- Movin' the hype track = Plus a f@$k load others!!
  3. Would have thought they'd load the Enzo into the back of the ambulance and leave the "Rocket Scientist" there!! Thats what I woulda done!!
  4. After the Arabs drifting that rented Hyundai Sonata a while back, I'm wondering where these guys are getting their talent from?? That is definitely not homo... There was no cum-in-bum action there at all (tho I reckon they were all wearing white dresses in there :D )
  5. Toyota would probably still have the moulds to build "genuine" AE86s... Imagine if they built a limited run (say 100) of those crazy Levins you can get in GT3... The 'special', won-not-bought panda-liveried ones that rev to about 11000rpm!! Sell them for 50 or 60k each, people would snap them up!! Lightweight panels and alloy, adjustable suspension components. Get TRD or an outside tuner to build and tune special engines, LSDs and close ratio boxes. Add the option of a specially designed, purpose-built rollcage... License to print money, Toyota!!
  6. I reckon that will look good... Go for it!!
  7. Early Sigma LCAs, the ones with PRESS-IN type ball joints are the ones to use!! The later model LCAs with BOLT-ON balljoints give you about 6deg neg... and that is stupid, excessive, and dangerous!! You can force the bushes into the Corolla crossmember, but a much better option would be to grind a bit off each end to make them fit properly. Using longer LCAs will pump the front wheel track out too... And it makes the stance of the car look a bit strange. Find some pics of my KE36 Van and not the differences in track widths. Good Luck
  8. Bye Bye Rolla... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tVTjEbwMro Looked to be fairly clean example too!! Yay for American Soldiers. :D
  9. My 323 4wd turbo rallycar 250BHP out of 1.6L works-spec engine. Got where it was going in a blinding hurry!! If ONLY it had had the proper works gearbox aswell... Man, that thing would have been amazing!! Without the works gearbox, it would lag BADLY til 4500rpm.... then.... BANG!!! Off she'd go!! 2nd fastest would be my BMW 535i. 155kW, but auto. Not super-fast accelerating (not too bad tho), but it would just pull and pull and pull!!
  10. LOL Now that IS cool!! Nice work!!
  11. That Corona is decidedly :P !! I like it... Needs a roof chop and bright purple metallic paint!!
  12. LOL at Dodge Earthf@$ker!! Thats GOLD!! Drive thru/past ATM... I've seen it ALL!!
  13. S2000 engines are really, really awesome, don't get me wrong.. I'm just a purist at heart, thats all... :D
  14. Its...a....f@$king....HONDA....motor!!! Jesus christ, what a disgrace!! :D
  15. LOL!! :D There is an R where the T should be in that statement... Its kinda suggestive!! Sif Celica... Give me that TE27 any day of the week!!
  16. ***UPDATE: March 07*** Picture tells 1000 words... I need not say more!! :D (oh, and they won't be staying on the bonnet...)
  17. New Focus= Torque steer and tyre wear city!! I know its a Ford "f@$k-arse", but its damn wicked!! I'm glad to see that car companies are still willing to make small cars with too much power!! Tho I'd still prefer an S3 Quattro!! :P
  18. But Kms aren't on the Tacho... :P I'm not entirely sure how many kns are on the KE36, as it has no speedo cable!!
  19. Ive got a monster shift light tacho, and its right in the middle of the top of the dash, so everyone can see it!!! I also have Water temp, oil temp, and amp gauges down the A-pillar in a moulded pod with stick-on printed carbon fibre!! Ok, so they were lies... :P
  20. Hmmm... Better get onto it then. Thanks all :)
  21. Oh shit... Stupid me!! Its a 4k from a KE70 in a KE36 shell. Was rebuilt sometime up to 10 years ago (apparently), but thats all I know about it. Some of the valves are "mushroomed" on the top of the stems (loose tappets for a long period will do that), to the point where we can't get the collets out to change valve stem seals. Hopefull it will get replaced in about 18months time, so if the timing chain will last that long, I won't bother replacing it.
  22. She sure is a testament to your enthusiasm and dedication to build it all, gathering all the bits from near and far!! When she's all resprayed, badges on and in a shed... she'll definitely be a sight to behold!! Good luck keep us posted!! :)
  23. If I drive for a little while, then park for 5mins, when I re-start the engine, I get the most horrid rattle from the engine for about 3 seconds. The oil level is fine, but it has been very low on several occasions in the past. When the engine is cold, it takes a little longer to fire, so the oil pressure is up enough to stop the chain rattling. Is it the timing chain do you think?? And how long will it last... Will it just get worse and worse, or will it just break and ruin my engine. The engine gets regular revving up to 5k rpm, but hardly ever past 5k. Thoughts?? I don't really want to replace it, but if it has to be done, then I will
  24. For the KE36 Panelvan.. Cage Harnesses Fixed back buckets Flares Superlites 4 more driving lights for the front (f@$kin' deer killed the last ones) Rebuilt suspension (new shocks, springs, bushes, rotors, calpiers, drums... the lot) rebuilt, somewhat fettled engine :) Rebuilt gearbox Rebuilt Diff (welded or slippery..) No more rattlers... anywhere!! Fresh paint Lexan side windows (with "mail-slots") Roof vents Big red rally mudflaps (still not totally comfirmed on those just yet) All interior panels (seeing that most of them are missing) and... a speedo cable!! Sheesh... all of this on a uni budget?? Who am I kidding!! :yak: (and I've kinda given away the future plans for the KE36 now haven't I...)
  25. How great would that Levin front end look on a certain KE36 panelvan (ie MINE!!!) :) So Jonny, is she practically as close to a Levin as a non-levin could get??
