  1. Has anyone picked the minor detail that is wrong with these arms?? THEY WILL GIVE ABOUT 6 OR 7 DEGREES NEGATIVE CAMBER!! This is a BAD idea!! I put in a set of Sigma lower arms which were only about 1in longer than the standard Corolla ones, and I had 6 degrees negative!! Which is way , way too much!! You WILL need adjustable strut-tops to re-adjust the camber after doing this mod... Not to mention that standard wheels (or regular-fitment Hotwire and stuff) will poke out beyond the guards and you'll need flares atleast!! Will anyone back me up on this one?? Who else has experience with lower arms??
  2. Not a corolla, but... I saw a shovel-nose Corona Ute today!! It wasn't a home-made chop job either (or if it was its a damn good one!!) Pale blue, a bit rough, but still damn nice!! I also saw a red TA22 in the Woolies Sandy Bay Carpark. It was overrated, and even had the original hubcaps on!! Definately a nanna's car...
  3. I saw that in Sandy Bay a few weeks back... The owners were in the car, so I couldn't take any pics. But f@$k I laughed!! ;) :D :P
  4. The old school RT130 (I think) would be the same size as a Corolla or Landcruiser wouldn't they (ie 7inch)??
  5. Its not a bigport... ITS A FFFFFFFFFRRRREEEEEAAAAAKKKKKK!!!!
  6. Welcome!! Nice looking wagon!! Are there many old corollas left in the states these days??
  7. God no... definately Photoshopped. The angle of the 'x-tra cab' bit is not 70's enough in styling. Plus where to top lip of the tray is, it looks quite like a photoshop 'chop and blur' line. I have seen KE36s turned into utes, and it is a horrible, horrible waste of such a hot little machine (Yes, I am KE36 bias...)!! However... a dual-cab KE38 ute, I have no problem with ;)
  8. Looks kinda Capella/RX3-ish from the back. The rear 1/4 vent gives it away as a corolla... Oh, so does the big TOYOTA badge on the bootlid!! ;)
  9. Ancellen is right, its a Kit car form... The back end is different shape to the original too!! Well spotted!! I'd love an 800... I reckon they are the tits!!
  10. I spy a pair of KE10s (one maroon, one white) parked in a yard on Augusta Road... Is that any of our guys??
  11. I'll move up there and service crew for you Red!!!
  12. Not sure on the 4Agzeat all... Thats not a tassie one. I don't know the hillclimb either... It may be "Eaglehawk Neck" Redwarf: I love that avatar!! the most important spare part for a rallycar!!
  13. Wow!!! Almost the same as my old rally car!! Engine bays look very, very, very familiar!! :D ;) Works Familias... I thought they'd all be dead by now!! I wish I'd kept mine now.... :)
  14. This from a local guy's Photobucket. Bloody good save... Morey Gettin' LOOSE!! Have a look thru Demes other vids too... Lots of Tassie stuff. Oh, and listen to the little 4A-gze scream in the rallycross clubman... Much wheelspin??
  15. Has your corolla got black carpet?? I have an orange 2dr sedan with white interior and black carpet...
  16. I wonder where it is today... ??
  17. Thats a hot little bugger!! i love it!!
  18. They are rare... but not nearly rare enough!! I'm not into those lancers personally... I'd rather a pos wedgie-shape 120y!! They can be made to be pretty damn quick mind you, there is one that rallies down here, and its quite quick, and sounds awesome! One word of advice... Loose the lame ricer stickers!! It takes away ANY of the small amount of cred that the car has!! Sorry, thruth is seldom nice!!
  19. Doubt it... If they did, they might actually deisgn something cool looking!! And it would have a mental sound system!! It'd probably be more like the Range Stormer concept!!
  20. Bricks were probably cheaper than bullet-proof glass!! :2thumbs: Now that I think of it... I have heard the ol' "Bricked in for preservation" urban legend before. Latest one is that there is a genuine Brocky racer 'bricked-in" somewhere, and one of those G-Zero Skyline things, that somehow made it to Australia...
  21. Damn big brakes!!! Still not as sexy as the previous shape Sportivo...
  22. Thats a bit harsh isn't it?? :2thumbs: I not completely sure why you'd brick-in a Corolla for preservation purposes (unless it was a genuine Levin, a prototype or an ex-works rally car, but at the same time you can't blame someone for trying to increase the life expectancy/ preserve something that they really enjoy.
  23. Speaking of rare/ overrated Corollas. There is one in a local caryard here in Tassie for $2990!!! Its the light green colour, about a 1976/77, auto, and its IMMACULATE!! Full chrome bumpers don't even have a dent in them!! I should go and get some pics, but it sure is in perfect condition... It doesn't even have the front apron dented!!!
  24. I know of one of our members toying with a twin headlight setup from a TA Celica. He has had to custom fabricate brackets, but other than that... Maybe Corona ones might be an idea too
  25. Here is what Satan has been spending his retirement money on... MOPAR muscle with a twist.. or 4
