I bought a set of "Wildcat" extractors.. Apparently the same as Genies, just without the blue paint and little Genie badge. $330 fitted. Sound good, and hey, every little bit of extra BHP helps our little engines!!

If anyone wants to plan a cruise, I have an awesome suggestion!! Everyone up north make a trip down south, someone can stop at elizabeth town, cut all the parts I need to fix my KE36 off a donor car I have there, then come down for a weekend of beer, bullshit, tall-stories, driving and pulling the broken bits off the front end of my corolla!! I have masses of acccomodation room.. I may even buy a carton or two to get us all started!! Reason I suggest this is that I don't actually have a vehicle/access to a vehicle that is suitable to bring the stuff ( basically the whole front cut of a KE30, forward of the strut towers) down to hobart.

Most of us know that a KE10 is K= K-engined, E= Corolla, 1= Series 1. So a KE30 is a 3 series, KE55 is a 5 series. What happened to the KE40... the 4th series??

^^Indeed... But theyre also very, very simple. Not massive amounts of $$ will get you a full bush kit & shocks for one, that you can fit yourself, and presto!! It handles and rides well again... My BMW has strange things like rear subframe bushes, gearbox carrier bushes, floating crossmember bushes.... WTF?? :crazy: My Van will get full nolothane and new shocks when the RA40 strut conversion happens... THEN she'll realllllyyy handle!! :dance:

Has it got anything to do with the fuel tank, exhaust, and heat shroud for the exhaust?? Try those... My 36 has THE most annoying rattle in the whole history of automobiles, and I will have to strip the back end (diff, suspension, fuel tanks etc) to track it down. If I drive for more than 30mins at ANY speed, I need earplugs coz the rattle is nightmarish and causes headaches!!

Took the ol girl to the bodyworks today... ALL IS GOOD, apparently!! Loox like the van will fight another day, and I'll get onto it shortly, and get some bits to rebuild the front. Coming to a rollaclub drive day near you soon... :dance:

Where and when did you get it?? Its not a melbourne car is it?? White interior with black carpet... Hmm thats a bit rare. Mine is the only other KE30 2dr (also 'butterscotch' orange) I have seen with that colour config. Is it an SE (badge below the driver's side taillight). Did it have black pinstripes when you got it?? The car I am thinking of was kicking around Melb when I was on the Spirit of Tas. It was parked near Beacon cove, and I put a note under the windscreen telling the owner I wanted first offer if he ever sold it... When it came up for sale... I was not in the position to buy it!! f@$k!! You guys should have seen it... Absolute minter!! Not even a speck of surface rust!! And a identical twin to my KE30 2dr. I still wish I'd grabbed it... ;)
