I'm looking at buying a cheap rolla to build me a race/drift/drag car.

it wont be road registered, but i would prefer a running car.

Could some peeps please point me in the right direction..

has to be RWD.. and sedan.

appart from that, i have no real idea or need.

*note: the moderators at bc.com are cool people.. expecially that one guy.. whats his name... Patrick i think.. *

Hey there

well, Your basic RWD corollas in Australia are the..

Ke70 / Ae71 & Some T18's (1980 - 1984)

Ke55's (1978 - 1981) - it think

then theres the older Ke30's and below that !

The Ke** 's came with the K series motor, and the Ae**'s came with A motors... neither of these are power plants from stock, but talk to some of the other guys on here, and you will soon learn you can build a good grunty K (or A) motor + Stuff for about 1 to 2 K.

How much are you willing to spend?

no idea what a KE20 is.. could people post pics of the models they are refering to...

excuse my complete ignorance of the toyota range of cars..

Also, if i was to say, drop in a 1J or 2J..

a) would it fit..

b) which car would it fit into ( and don't say supra.. )

c) how much hard work would it be.. ie, drive train, gearbox, etc etc..
