My Ke26

Recommended Posts

Well had the day off today. Did a big clean of the garage and got rid of the old oils and scrap metal! Gave me a bit more room at least!

So cleaned up the interior a bit more, grinded off some shodie welding(also set it on fire ). Put my old seats back in, but the rear mounts to bolt in so need to do some welding to make it fit and strengthen it.

Sprayed up a grille for the front. Thanks to Lukey_ke20 for the supplies!!

Was gonna put the flywheel and clutch together but found out i only have a backing/sandwich plate for fwd! So need to find a RWD one(pm me if you got anything )

Also did a bit of wiring for the dash. The pics at the bottom is of the unit thats going in. Its my old dash from the 25. Looks great i reckon, doesn't look modified at all.

OK thought i'd update a bit.

The ke20 was stripped and taken to the crushers :lolcry: rust in the chasis rails and the body were beyond repair. So cut my losses and saved as much as i could.

So now the main focus has been turned to restoring the '26. Got some chrome hubbies and trims of Scott, also got a 5k for free so will look to clean that up and chuck it in. Also looking at changing the front drums to discs, then will get it lowered, clean the old girl up a bit and that will be about that. Eventually get a full respray original white and that'll be that.

Cheers

hey mic,

you might need a few sand bags in the back.

but seriously, i would've thought 2" drop in the back would look lower than that.

That's what i was thinking ay. Oh well will sort something out,

Mic
