ancullen Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 yea i know, i would like that but am very unsure how ill do i think daniels blue sprinter only makes like 130rwkw, but apparently he dynoed my adub and it was only bit below 100rwkw. (i mounted the heat exchanger yesterday, looks sweet, very sneaky, now to order some more bits and tidy things up) Daniel's Sprinter was making 130rwkw with the old turbo (the shitty GT25), 160rwkw with the new one (the KKR380 or whatever it is). its the lap times and 1/4 mile times that count not output I couldn't agree more - currently you've got some catching up to do if you want to beat the KE55 - although I'll have to fix it first. :n:
wasfishing Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I'm hopin to be at the next track meet for sum fun but am having trouble tracking down a sc belt toyota recon there in none in aus, and i need a wheel alignment done again to suit these tyres, ill see how i go
ancullen Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Try eBay or Mr Revhead for the belt - you should be able to get one before the August 26 meet. You obviously won't be able to get one before the 5th of August, but hardly anyone will be at that meet anyway.
wasfishing Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 ok i sent him a pm, and have asked the adub boys
wasfishing Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 apparently i can pick one up form supercheap
ancullen Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Really??? That's pretty cool. It must be in the Gates belts book or something. Definitely worth a look if you're headed there. They'll probably have to order it in, but that's not really a big deal.
ancullen Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Make sure you let us know the result. It'd be good to know we can get belts up here if we need them.
wasfishing Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 not all plans are off for the moment i did my tax and I'm happy but what i do is only for me to know, lets just say i might be installin vtak
ancullen Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 Dickhead. :n: Why would you even mention VTEC on a Toyota forum?
gemzu Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 PS I was kidding :n: Next car is for fun this is a daily - daily with new exhaust mmmmmm
ancullen Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 Meh. I hate the way so many people seem to think VTEC is some miraculous power generating invention. What so many people don't realise is that VTEC simply allows Honda to run higher lift, longer duration cam profiles for top end power without sacrificing too much bottom end torque. Some don't believe it when they're told that a non-VTEC engine with the same big cam profiles will make the same top end power - it'll just lose some mid-range power/torque.
