That thing is pretty messy...Last time we did a head gasket we just went nuts with a wire brush to clean everything up...and then chucked it back together....it held up ok with 10psi :yes:

Take note of water Galleries pointed out in red they look to be getting close to where the head gasket is sealing.

Did you know That if corrosion inhibitor is mixed to weak it will cause more corrosion than using just water.

Call ANY wrecker and ask if they have any 4k motors and if the head is in usable condition!

Keep calling until you find one that has one and then ask for a price on it. You may be able

to take the head off yourself and save yourself a few dosh if you say you're able to. Especially

since it should be simple as you have previous experience in taking a 4k head off.

 

Heads/motors come up in the "For Sale" section all the time. So you could just look out for one

there.

ps. Redwarf's advice is actually REALLY good! So if he suggests to buy a manual, it's probably

a really good idea. You'll end up saving a shitload of time and maybe even some cash since

you have a "HOW TO" in front of you.

I'm curently having trouble trying to get the 1cyl to fire so ehh that y I'm looking at doing this 3k-b conversio or atleast use the head and twin carbs for my beast
