Redwarf Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 (edited) The front beaver panel has had more hits than Tom Jones. The front left is a Rock Hudson, it starts off looking straight.... :P It's salvagable, but if I can find a better one, we'll use it. The rear right has already been plated (photo taken at the beginning of the night), so it's starting to look alright-ish. Wayne is the man..... Edited January 10, 2005 by Redwarf Quote
Xany Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 i wonder what wayno could do for my rear gaurds.......i have no idea how to go about fixing them again. Quote
Redwarf Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 Unfortunately Wanye isn't a Bob. He only does very select work for a very select few people. Datgirl and myself are part of the privileged few... :P Quote
Super Jamie Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 tom, rock, wayne, bob. is this some kind of code like gone in 60 seconds? Quote
Teddy Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 The privileged club. hmmm... *scratches chin* There must be a weakness... :) :P Quote
demuire Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 My front guard still has a slight crease in it, I rather suck at panel beating. If it wasn't for having to prep and paint the spare guard, I'd replace it, but meh. I'll replace it when I bend it more :P Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I suppose at the end of they day, if you go make your race/rally car super straight, chances are your going to hit something sooner or later, best having a semi rough finish, then you won't panic when you dammage it. Quote
Redwarf Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 The trick is to make them look good with the minimum of effort. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 yeah, that was more or less my point, he he he Quote
Super Jamie Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 you have to do a darryl on them. or maybe it was a phil. hold on, here's humphrey! :P Quote
demuire Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 The trick is to make them look good with the minimum of effort. Ooooh and believe me the effort has been very minimum lately, haven't even bothered to mask anything off before repainting :P Quote
Redwarf Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 Todays effort was the rear guard, which is coming up fairly well. Wayne fabricated a new edge, and it's looking fairly good.... alot better than it did yesterday anyway..... Quote
Redwarf Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 .....All the body deadener is now out, now requires cleaning and a bit of floor panel beating..... Quote
Redwarf Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 (edited) .... and the engine bay is almost ready. We seam welded the LH tower, and the rear of the RH tower. The front has already been done in a previous indiscretion. And just for Jamie: Fred, Bill, Barney. Ralph....... Edited January 11, 2005 by Redwarf Quote
