demuire Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 See thread, start on page 2. Look out for posts by edgar_raphael, he posts some pics as well. It's basically an AE111 Corolla, with full ST215 GT4 gear, including the 4WD system and the dash and instrumentation... Cool :P Quote
crazy_bunny Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 thats cool, and I'm guessing bloody fast aswell Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 (edited) That has allways been my dream with maxi, drop a 3sgte in (it fits but just barely) and wack in the AWD & brake setup, however if I were to do that I think I would have to make the rear suspension indapendent? What did the AE111 come out with ? anyone know? He states he uses a toyota wagon AWD setup, I assume it could be the rolla 4wd? but strengthened using GT4 bits? I love the setup, specially that intercooler too.. perfect size and shape! :P Edited January 18, 2005 by TOMsGPTurbo Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Sounds like it would haul some serious arse to me.. Quote
demuire Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 I think AE111 is a 20V 4AGE originally. I think. Quote
Jason Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 apparently it came with some sort of forced induction motor, but not a GZE Quote
Super Jamie Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 there was no forced induction A motor except the gze. an ae111 is the 3sgte awd rally car, never put into production, that's it though Quote
demuire Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 Well, technically it should be an SE111 :P Quote
Jason Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 (edited) bastards down in that import place at Virgina said the Ae111 was a forced.... grrr Edited January 18, 2005 by Jason Quote
Super Jamie Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 the ae111 was forced, it was a turbo awd rally car, and there was one of them. singular. you can import an ae111 levin but that's a long sedan car, not a seca-style hatch like the ae101 or ae112. afaik, the last force inducted corolla was the ae101 with 4agze, and prior to that the ae92 with 4agze speaking of, i was driving behind an imported fwd levin sedan yesterday, white with SA plates and tokico stickers on it. it looked cool :P Quote
demuire Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 I don't think Toyota ever officially made a turbo 4A engine. Quote
mumblezzz Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Yeah there was a short run of 4A-FTE sportivo corollas. Quote
Super Jamie Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 golly gosh, you're right! www.turbocorolla.com Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Yep, thats what I thought I remember that fat woman saying something about an AE112R that was turbo... ROFL!! Quote
Mr Revhead[RL] Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 ae111 came out with 4afe, 4age ae112 came out with 7afe, for some reason toyota oz decided to turbo the ae112. don't know about the sportivos mumblzzz is talking about. it depends on your outlook.. toyota motor company never made a turbo a series. but one or two country divisons may have. dunno how official it is though.... toyota oz can't even supply a clutch for the ae112 version... i got emailed by a toyota dealer in oz needing one! :) Quote
