Having trouble finding roof lining for a KE30 2 door,

and I'm unsure about if the sedan one from a 30, or 55 would fit.

 

how would i go about making my own?,

It cost me $100 to get one made for my ke25, thats with me fitting it,

 

all you need is the metal bars that go through it, and the old hood lining.

yeah take it in, they make a copy for about $150 and reinstall done.

Solid roof lining? You mean without the bars? You would probably see all the metal frames through the roof lining??

Nah i mean a solid lining eg mdf or something similar.

seen it done before but not how exactly.

so you can mount things to the roof.

Commodores etc. have a solid lining!

I'm highly considering wiring in some down lights intead of have that single interior light!

i has some sorta lining, it was held on with metal clips above side windows, front tucked under windscreen rubber, and the rear had a strip of metal that tucked under rubber, and got screwed in...

I've seen it done in a mustang it is a full custom job!

i reckon it wouldn't be too hard to make the correct shape.

and also to hold it up.

but the hard bit would be flush mounting it

into the front and rear windscreens

just did a search.

i was led to believe that you needed a hard lining to mount things to your roof.

but an easy DIY way is to remove your original lining

and screw lengths of wood to the roog bracings

and from there mount whatever you want!

much easier!

RA28 celicas have solid roof lining. Would you go to a trim shop to get a roof lining copied/re-made?

mine looks to be moulded.

I don't have metal bars or whatever you guys on about, only bar i see is on the roof, bolted on either side, and the interior light bolts to that.

My KE50 jas moulded lining. You'll most likely end up cutting yourself trying to get it out. It was wire inside it
