youll need a decent size tank so you don't run out of air whilst spraying and even if it kicks in then it will probably be too late and you will have inconsistent air BTW, is the gun a GTi? ($800 is a bit pricey depnding on which rung it is on however) if so when it comes time for pots and nozzles etc, get a quote off your local guy then pm me and ill try and beat it (include all part numbers quoted on")

nah its the compact series.

we have heaps of GTi i could rebuild but i don't really like the feel of them.

i was told 800 to buy new from our purchasing ifficer that gun tips etc with good lined and top of line pot with pressure guages etc.

as for the compressor.. i've been reading and talking etc.

i believe it will be better for me to just hire one when i want to paint my car!

thanks for all your imput guys.

given me a bit of extra knowledge of compressors!

One of my mates was having problems, (with an average compressor) so he

hooked it up to an old gas bottle as an extra resivoir tank.

It now keeps up much better.

Maybe give this a go ?

By using the age old method of rusting...

Lol,

I think he drains the tank on the compressor as normal and lets the rest sit......
