SLW42 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 that looks great mate how long did it take to do that?? Quote
DouggehKE30 Posted April 3, 2009 Author Report Posted April 3, 2009 that looks great mate how long did it take to do that?? ...the guages? Not very long, less then 2 hours. but that was including sanding the holes bigger as the hole saw is notquite big enough, and painting. Quote
JiP Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) Looking great man. I too run 3K carbies on my 5K. They ran fine but now need a rebuild. I like your work with the guages, they look nice :bash: And about your speedo, I did the same with my 30 when I stuck the reco 4K in. Looks and works fine. Maybe you should pull it apart and have another look?? Edited April 3, 2009 by JiP Quote
Murd 55 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 shoulda put 3 gauges :y: looks a little empty. but does look awesome, and ur 5k is soo shiney! Quote
DouggehKE30 Posted April 3, 2009 Author Report Posted April 3, 2009 shoulda put 3 gauges :y: looks a little empty. but does look awesome, and ur 5k is soo shiney! I thought about putting an altimeter/volts in but that cost even more. But will be piss easy to put one in later, just get 2 more aluminum plates. I wanted the 5k to be shineyer, but only had autosol do do polishing with...no power tools, so couldn't be bothered. And Jon, The adomiter is fine now, it has worked it self out, except the very last cog, but it will be a wile until i need that one i think. Thanks for the comments gyes, makes it that bit more inspiring to do more. Quote
DouggehKE30 Posted June 3, 2009 Author Report Posted June 3, 2009 I have a couple of things to update. they will come later. As i cracked my grill in the crash :bash: so i glassed it up. So decided to paint it aswell. I got a spare grill from Ryan to experiment on. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK Please!!...reason why. (I was thinking gloss black surround, white grill) On the left gloss black On the right matt black with white grill Left glossblack Right gloss white(over the top?) Choices 1 all matt black 2 all gloss black 3 all white 4 combination gloss black, white grill 5 combination matt black white grill 6 (4 reversed 7( 5 reversed 8 get a colour match of the car and use that WOW, thats allot. Oh and i am putting the chrome strips back in, and i now have the original badge. Cheers Doug Quote
Tume Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I believe all gloss black would make it look awesome. There is a 30 running around near me which has one gloss black and looks awesome, so that's what I'm basing my judgment on. Quote
SLO-030 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Matt black with the grille secton painted white to match the rear vent grilles Quote
