Have you collected any solid lifter conversion parts yet? And I put any thought into lump sticks while you're at it?

We have been in discussions, Si.

I've got cam, lifters and most probably pushrods.

Just pulled this head off, bottom end is proper f'd but head is still ok. Had one semi stuck valve but free now.

How does your current heads inlet Ports compare to an em30? And do you know your current c/r?

Did abit of work on it today and bought some bits.

Installed a boost guage and got the loom through the firewall also ran a fuel pump feed to the boot.

Purchased a new headgasket and mani gasket for when I get the head off Si.

Caught up with Si (Taz_rx) last night and picked up the 4k head. going to clean that up today and measure the CC

Printed out the wiring diagram for the Microtech D5 noticed that the fuel pumps are operated by a pull to ea rth Trigger, (you were right Si)

So going need to run a few more wires now. Should of checked first instead of rushing into it!

Its still only one wire too the boot from the ecu (provided you have power in there) you just need to wire the relay differently. ;)

haha yeah I didn't think when I typed that befor. Got it all sorted now.

Just measured the head. looks to be approx 32ml

A few of my mates have told me I should just be putting a

Looks like it sits a fair bit higher than it used to. Shouldn't be too much of an issue with the intercooler plumbing, should be able to just trim that 45deg silicone hose to suit.

I JUST had enough room to get to the dizzy to adjust timing, but geez that blower can get a bit hot.

Yeah thats how it sits on the A/C bracket, Think I will make a custom one later on when I get the clear from the physio to use powertools etc (Stupid wrist) haha

Reckon I bet it would get a little warm Stu. So keen to get it running!

Turns out the local auto supplies shop gave me a 4k head gasket instead of a 5k one, so now have to wait to get that in before I can slap the head on and start it :) woo
